I have been looking at the Fisher Price Little People Zoo Talkers Zoo for a little while now and finally decided to take the plunge and buy it. I had considered the exclusive zoo product that they have at the Fisher Price Online Store that teaches the alphabet, but my 22 month old already knows most of the alphabet, so I was afraid that getting her that would make the toy less fun later on. She has a huge imagination and love of animals, so this product looks to be just the right thing for her.

I priced it out online and found that Walmart has the lowest price at $34.88. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fisher-Price-Little-People-Zoo-Talkers-Animal-Sounds-Zoo/16636598 Upon further investigation of the Fisher Price Online Store website, I found that they are offering a $5 off coupon on the toy that you can print out! http://www.fisher-price.com/us/special/offers/ (You have to let it download an app to use it.) So, I picked up this toy for under $30! SCORE!

I also found that there is a really cute Zoo Talkers Safari Truck that you can get to go with it that gives you a lion cub, a Giraffe, and another zookeeper for the little one to play with outside of the three critters that come with the zoo itself. I priced it out and at Walmart it was $21.88. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fisher-Price-Little-People-Zoo-Talkers-Animal-Sounds-Safari-Truck/16636599 However, I did a search on www.thefind.com and found that Sears, of all strange places, sells it for the cheapest price of $15.99. They offer in store pick up as an option to avoid shipping fees too. Unfortunately, there isn't a store that carries this anywhere nearby, so I printed out the webpage and took it with me to Walmart this evening. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05202395000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1 I was very fortunate in that they chose to honor the price that Sears lists this for on the internet! SCORE!

On top of all that, I found that the zoo includes a 5 episode dvd that my little one will most likely enjoy. And, even better, there are books that come with more of the Zoo Talker Animals that can be purchased at several places, but since I was making a $50 free shipping order at Fisher Price's Store, I just picked them all up for $6 each there. So, the kiddo gets 3 books and 3 more critters to go with the zoo for only another $18! SCORE!

I feel like I hit the Fisher Price Zoo Talkers Jackpot today! :woohoo: Feel free to try to work the deal for yourself too. :thumbsup2

Thanks, I'm going to try to do the price match from Sears at my local Walmart. My DD is almost 19 months old, and would love that toy. :)

If any of you folks find the Zoo Talker Animals for sale, they are supposed to retail at about $3 each, on any of the usual shopping sites, please do let me know.

I am absolutely disgusted by the prices that I am finding on eBay, which seems to be the only place that I can find any of these critters in stock. I just can't reconcil spending 3 times the price for an animal and in some cases, people are charging almost 40 times the price for just one. I mean, come on, they will be sold after the holidays too. :confused3

I am seeking the following animals: Rhinoceros, Elephant, Tiger, Alligator, Ostrich, Bear, Dolphin, Flamingo, Hippo, and Orangutan. I would like these to be a part of her set at Christmas, but I am not going to go for the average "low price" of $9 each with shipping factored in. :sad2:

ETA: I know that you can buy them still through ToysRus.com, but they don't let you pick which animal that you get and I have already gathered all of the other animals with the exception of the ones listed above.

Hey do some of the animals come with the main set? I ask because I just assumed they did and I've already wrapped it so can't check :goodvibes

Yes, the main set comes with a Gorilla, a Polar Bear, and a Lion. There is also a zoo keeper, Michael.

The Safari Truck comes with a zoo keeper Eddie, a Giraffe, and a Lion Cub.

There are three books that can be purchased separately and they each come with an animal. The animals available are a Zebra, a Leopard, and an Orca.

There are lots of animals available for individual sell. The Gorilla is one of them, which I don't quite understand since it comes with the set. The others are a Seal, a Penguin, a Rhinoceros, an Elephant, a Tiger, an Alligator, an Ostrich, a Bear, a Dolphin, a Flamingo, a Hippo, and an Orangutan.

I saw some of the animals you're searching for at a Walmart store yesterday. I've been searching for all the DC Super Friends stuff for my little guy. Sadly, they didn't have ANY of that! :sad1: They had quite a few animals, but I do remember showing ds the Ostrich, Dolphin, Rhino, and Flamingo for sure. Might be worth checking them out, too.

ETA - Do the animal sounds work on the safari truck? I haven't looked at it, but saw this would be around 15.99 with the Target coupon this week. I might grab it for ds anyway, if so. I don't plan to get the big zoo. (He has way too much Little People stuff & there's just no room!)

The Animals don't work on the truck to my knowledge, but there are sounds that can be made when you push down on the driver.

I found the 'extra' animals for 3.49 at Target...not in with the toys, but in with the Xmas stuff (they have some stocking stuffer type toys in the seasonal section.).

Thanks for that heads up. I would not have thought to look there. I went by a Walmart near my MIL's nursing home tonight that is in a nearby city and they had no animals. Maybe tomorrow night, we will take a quick run by the Target.

Does anyone know what I would need to do a price match at Walmart for this. Target is sold out. Never did a price match. Thanks

Before Black Friday, it's typically pretty simple. At the register, if you have a NON BLACK FRIDAY sales ad, just show it to them and they will ask for someone to approve the altered price. Once approved, which they seem pretty liberal about doing so, the item is keyed in at the reduced rate.

Walmart has already said that it will not match Black Friday Ad prices or internet pricing. However, if there is an item at the everyday low price on the internet that is at a typical locally available store like, Sears, KMart, etc, then they typically will honor the printout of the internet pricing from that retailer. Sometimes they will decline internet pricing, but most of the time, they will match.

If you are concerned about the approval of a price match, you can always stop at customer service first before shopping to find out what will be matched and what won't. Walmart kind of shot themselves in the foot with the commercial campaign that had the phrase, "Match it" repeated over and over again and said that they would honor any advertised price (with the usual disclaimer junk at the bottom of the screen of course).

:worship::worship::worship::worship: You rock! I found 9 of the 10 that I did not have at our local Target in the stocking stuffer section, just like you said! I most likely would have never stumbled upon them there had I not known to go hunting there for them. They were $3.29 each.

I left Target needing just one last critter, the Rhino. We needed to go grocery shopping for a few things and went over to Walmart, who has been perpetually out of these critters. We were incredibly fortunate in that we found 1 Rhino among the few critters that they had left. The Rhino rang up at $2.97. So, I am now 100% complete on the entire Zoo Talker line of products.

I can't wait for Christmas!

Yay!! Is that section the one over with the Christmas candy?

Thank you so much for posting this! My brother was asking me what to get DS for his birthday, and I printed out the coupon and sent him to Walmart! He is going to love it! :goodvibes Now I need to get on the hunt for more animals!

Okay so I couldn't remember what I had already bought and ended up with extras. If anybody is looking for Dolphin, Alligator, Ostrich, or Tiger just message me :goodvibes
