What are your experiences (good and bad) with these 2 off site rentals? Randy's is quite a bit cheaper than Walkers. Who do you recommend? Thanks in advance for your help!

Randy's is less expensive that Walker's.

However, Walker's will deliver the ECV to your resort so it is there waiting for you when you arrrive and will pick it up after you leave. Randy's requires that you be present at both drop-off and pick-up.

Both have very good ECVs and are prompt in handling any problem which may arise, although problems with their ECVs tend to be very few and far between.

We used Randy's last March. The ECV was delivered pretty much exactly at the time it was promised. The person delivered it right to our room, explained use of it, explained the contract and what to do or not do and offered to answer any questions or give a demonstration of anything we needed.
The pick up time was arranged ahead of time and the person picking it up was prompt.
The ECV looked brand new and worked very well.

I can make some assumptions about their rate, based on what we were told. Since someone has to be there to receive the ECV and return it, the company might have lower insurance rates. Since they demonstrate how to use it, they might have lower damage/repair rates. The person made sure we knew how to back up, control the speed, etc, etc before he left.
If you have never driven one before, the extra instruction might be very helpful. Especially for backing up and manouvering into a space. You will need to be able to 'parallel park' and back accurately in order to get into position to ride the buses and to get into the spot for many shows.

Sue: Was yours the regular or heavy duty model? I'd be getting the heavy duty one. I'm interested in knowing whether all the heavy duty ones from Randy's have a cord to plug in and recharge at the parks. I read on someone's post that they rented a h. duty from Randy's and it had an extension cord to just plug in and charge. I rented one from Walkers before and it came with a big heavy battery that we had to leave in the room and charge at night. We plan to be in the parks very late one night and I want to be able to plug in and recharge at sometime during the day.

I don't think it was heavy duty. It did have a cord to plug in and I don't remember anything that we had besides a cord. I think I would have noticed/remembered a charger because my DD's power wheelchair has a rather large and heavy charger.
