Scooter Seat Question

I am renting a scooter for the first time for a trip next month. I have a question about whether you can adjust the seat or handle. I am short with short arms/legs. I am concerned I will need to "lean forward" to reach the handle. Do the seats or handle adjust to accommodate using the scooter comfortably?

Yes, it should be adjustable. My Mom is 5'1", and we have always been able to adjust the tiller/seat to work for her. The rental company should be able to help you when they deliver it to you. Gold always checks that the "fit" (location of seat/tiller) is right.

that would be an advantage of having one delivered to guest rather than having one left at Bell Service. they should be able to do this when delivered

They are super easy to adjust. Depending on the model, there should be a wheel-type screw in the handle. Loosen it, adjust handlebar towards you, then tighten screw back up.

Or if you stay at the Swan and Dolphin they still accept deliveries, and the people at bell services are super helpful and will go over the scooter with you.

but with Bell Services you are having to hope person knows about scooters. has been years since I have had to use but person I was blessed with gave me wrong info on the scooter so I stand by what I say about delivery person will know more about scooters.

I haven't found that to be the case. Scooters aren't that complex.

You can always call where you booked from to ask them or you can ask your driver if you are meeting with one for delivery. I booked through Walker and their scooter tiller comes down by you pressing down a button and pulling towards or away from you depending if you want it closer or farther away. You can also swivel the seat by pulling down the lever and moving your body to whichever side you want. I asked my driver about the seat swivel when he delivered my scooter and he showed me super quickly. It was all very easy.

If you can find out the manufacturer of the scooter, you could try looking on YouTube for videos on how to adjust certain aspects of it.
