scooter rental?

Hi, wanted to know when you dock at Port Canaveral for your 1 day at Disneyworld how often does the shuttle run back & forth. Also can you rent a scooter for the day, if you can where do you pick it up once the shuttle drops you off at Disneyworld? Thanks.....

In-park ECV rentals are available on a first-come first-served basis. You should know that it's not unusual for them to run out of ECV by mid-late morning. If that occurs, they almost always still have manual wheelchairs that you can use and be put on a waitlist for an ECV. Same if you park-hop, show your receipt from the first park and if an ECV is not available you can be waitlisted.

I don't know if offsite vendors can or will meet you at the park gate, and most (if not all) have a minimum days rental requirement so you may not be able to get a 1-day rental. But it may be worth calling to ask. Some of the offsite vendors at WDW are listed in post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread pinned near the top of the disABILITIES Forum. I believe Walker and Brevard Medical are allowed to deliver to the port for cruises -- but I don't know if they would do a 1-day rental for a port excursion.
