Hello All -
My DH rented a scooter for our 10-day trip (returned this week).
He choose Scootarama and the Pride Revo.
What a FABULOUS experience we had!
First, the Pride Revo is nimble and fast. It was easy to drive, sharp turns were possible but you never rolled. I made a pouch for the seat back so it was our workhorse and I will never be accused of being Twiggie. It was FAST.
It's footprint was small - meaning it fit almost everywhere - there was plenty of room for my feet....my seat and that crazy air boot I have to wear...but it wasn't big and clunky.
What I noticed from other scooters was they all seemed so.....clunky.
We specificallly wanted a scooter that could easily be disassembled and placed in the car. We had a rental and wanted absolutely nothing to do with the Disney bus system. The second day we had it down to about 30 seconds---- honestly....it was THAT easy. No one component was really heavy either when it was broken down.
The biggest thing we noticed was our little Pride Revo (named Dolly) looked like Seabiscuit and the others we passed along the way looked like......work mules.
I gave myself a budget of $15 for decorations for Dolly.
Fabric and Velcro - I made the over-the-seatback pouch (go to the manufaacturer's website and you will find dimentions). Next off to the bike department of Walmart for a little squeeky horn and bike bell. Next over to the Holiday section for some garland and I was ..... UNFORGETABLE.
A security castmember stopped one night and laughed as I was doing donuts around the marble column's in Italy aft Illuminations. I gave him a quick toot with my squeaky horn and he laughed....."you are just playing, aren't you!"
I would ring my bell or squeek my horn with a HELLO to passing scooters along the way.
I could not walk and our trip was almost cancelled because of it. Dolly gave me my freedom and allowed me to ...... FLY once again.
Remember.....SCOOTARAMA !!! <--- no clunkers, no tired scooters......Seabiscuit vs the work mule! I'll take Seabiscuit!!!
