I'll be Disney with 2 other adults in January and currently we have an ADR for Sci-Fi. We've been wanting to try it for awhile, but after looking at photos, it looks like we'd probably be seated in 2 seperate rows. What are your thoughts on 3 adults dining here? Could we all sit together? Do people tend to just sit back and watch the movie clips or would it be awkward that one of us is sitting alone? Should we just save this restaurant for a trip when there are 2 or 4 of us?

Thanks:)

I would definitely do it. Most people sit back and watch the movie clips anyway so it shouldn't be awkward. There are 9 of us going in Feb and planning on eating at the Sci Fi. I suppose we will have to have 2 "cars" like we did last time. It is one of our favorite places to eat. Have a good time.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I don't think it would be awkward. When we were just a family of three my DH would sit behind us, he enjoyed the extra elbow room. There are also round tables in the back with umbrellas. I would say keep it and don't worry about what other people say or think. We have had people sit in the third row behind us in the car that were there by theirselves. We will be there in Jan also without the kids, but are skipping Sci-Fi since we did it last month. My DH loves their milkshakes, and I like the ribs. Have a great trip.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not worried what anyone else is thinking about us, but just want to make sure we have fun:yay: I'm happy to sit in the "backseat" and enjoy some quiet time. I'm sure we'll all we tired of each other by the 4th day of the trip anyway:rotfl: There are plenty of restaurants we want to try, so I wanted to get a feel for whether or not this is a good time to try Sci-Fi.

Oh cool! I didn't realize they had other types of tables:thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing.

Here is a suggestion: For whoever sits alone, sit in the back, behind the 2. This way it is easier for a 3 way conversation to take place. The 2 will sort of turn towards each other, which will include you in profile. It is harder the other way, because the person in the front usually only turns towards one person not both. Just a suggestion.
