Hey guys, hope you can offer up some advice for me!

I really want to try Sci-Fi for our upcoming trip. We have two girls, they will be 4 and just turned 2 at the time of our trip. I know the 4 year old will be fine, but what about the 2 year old? Do they offer any type of high chairs? I just didn't see how it would be possible w/ the cars?

Thanks!

I believe they pull up high chairs next to the cars.

They also have regular tables in the back, if you'd prefer that.

We went when my middle DS was two and he was able to sit easily in the car itself. I think it was one of the first times he did not use a high chair. I sat on the outside so he was captive inside the car. :-)

Oh that's true, the seats have that barrier so she'd be stuck in there! Hmm...

Thanks for the reply!

We have an ADR there 2 weeks from Monday. We have a 5 year old DD and a 20 month old DD. I just plan on having the ADR stuck between me and her Grandma or me and her sister. She's a big kid anyway!

We are opting not to go to Sci-Fi on our trip this May. Our boys will be 5 and turning 2 during the trip. My reasoning was the fun is sitting in the cars and I thought it would be awkward for each of us to have a child and not be able to chat. When they are older it will be a great place to go. I have been several times and really enjoyed the atmosphere, but will wait for the kiddos to be older. If you have never been and do not mind the dark and seating (or will sit at the tables in back), it should work.

I took my son when he was 9 months old. We sat at one of the middle tables just used a high chair. At 2yrs old, you may be able to get a booster seat for the cars.

I think there's a picture of the high chair in my trip report below. My husband and I sat in the car, then the high chair was beside us.

Our son was 18 months old. I would imagine they have booster seats also. The pictures are on pages 1 & 2. I think the Sci Fi ones are on page 2.

Just a word of warning - my DD, 4, was scared of this place. Didn't like it being so dark, was scared of the movie, etc. I didn't think this would be the case at all, as this kid it bold, bold, BOLD, but she really didn't enjoy it. We finally got her (and of course, big brother) the drinks with lights in them to entertain her and take her mind off the darkness, but it was NOT an enjoyable dining experience for us. I had read about people having this problem and though "Naah, not her" but boy, did she HATE that place.

We have used high chairs at Sci Fi that just pulled right up next to the car. But most of the time we just stick the little one in the car on the inside. It is a great restaurant - make sure you go! We really enjoy it and try to go every trip.
