Hi everyone is there any sci-fi shops in the orlando area.

There are quite a few comic shops which also sell Sci Fi stuff. One is the colleseum of comics which has 3 stores and one I can't remember the name of off hand but it's across the road from the Florida Mall on Orange Blossom

MGM also sells a quite a bit of Sci Fi stuff, the shop as you come out of Star Tours is one.

There was a comic shop on the 192 DH liked but I don't know if it's still there. I will ask him and post back as we have not been there for a few years but he may have seen in in passing (I wouldn't remember what it looked like to be honest

Hi Andy

If you are a Star Trek fan, I would recommend visiting Starabilia which is located at Downtown Disney West Side - this store has authentic celebrity & movie memorabilia and had some fantastic "head" masks of Data, Jean Luc Picard and Worf when we were there - their stock does change of course, but hopefully they will have something there of interest when you visit. ( I think they had a few Star Wars items but cannot remember!)

Hi Andy,

DH says toy stores are good for Star Wars stuff.

There is always a good range of sci fi reading in bookstores. DH's favourites are WaldenBooks & Borders.

He's not sure if the comic store on the 192 is still there or not, sorry

He thinks there may have been a collectors store in the Florida Mall but can't remember where it was or what it was called so that's not much help either

Starabilia on West Side also usually has other sci-fi stuff besides Star trk/Wars i.e they used to have a full sized Predator suit, signed Alien poster, Terminator stuff etc etc

There is also a shop in Islands of Adventure i think in the Superheroes area that has very good collectables of Green Goblin etc etc usually in display cases. Its on the left somewhere near Spiderman ride.
