SCI-FI restaurant

Hello all.....I have a question for all of you.

My dd's are very Star Wars freaks, and were so looking forward to the Star Wars weekend at MGM, however, I just find out the last weekend is 2 days before we get there. I know it is not the same, but will the SCI-FI help in filling the Star Wars void.

The Sci Fi is a fun restaurant but it is not really very Star Wars-y.

The Sci Fi is more centered around the really cheesy horror and sci fi movie trailers of the 50's and 60's. Think "Attack of the 50 Foot Man", or "It Came From Outer Space". The trailers are incredibly goofy, the kind of thing that Mystery Science Theater 3000 fans around the world absolutely adore.

But you are not going to find Star Wars there.

I would definately spend a lot of time in the Star Wars area though. It's pretty neat to walk around the area. And check out the Tattoine Traders shop and the Star Tours ride. You can get pictures done at the store that superimpose your face on a Star Wars scene.

There's still a lot of fun Star Wars stuff at Disney MGM. Be sure to get your kids pictures taken riding on the speeder bike thing outside of the ride. It makes a great photo...
