Hi all. I've been reading a couple reviews of the Sci-Fi Dine-in. I've read that it is really slow and could take up to two hours to have dinner there. I've already made ADRs for this restaurant, but I'm not sure how I feel about having a two hour meal there. What have been your experiences with it? thanks!

In the past we've had slow service there, but last month it was FAST! I couldn't believe how quickly we were in and out. Waitress was prompt and food came up really, really fast. Probably one of our most prompt Disney meals ever. It was lunchtime, so maybe they were trying to do a quick turnover.

We were there in january.... service was moderate....

But they are inconsistant... could only get a milkshake for a dessert on the ddp... and our meals were horrible... out of 6 of us, no one liked their meal. And we are typically happy with chicken stips kind of folks...

We were there last Nov and we liked it
Our meal was good, we had burgers, milkshakes, onion rings
and the most awesome dessert
It was cheesecake with caramel and cracker jacks and m&m's-YUM!!!!
The atmosphere is awesome in there :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for your replies! I really do want to try it. I think it's be a fun atmosphere. As long as you all haven't had 2 hour dinners there, I think I'll be good :)

Actually my experience has always been the opposite. I've thought service was pretty fast and it seems like the servers like to turn their tables over quickly. I've never had anything remotely close to a two hour meal there.

We were there in June and ate one lunch and one dinner there. We loved it and are looking forward to going back again. The cheeseburgers and onion rings are scrumptious! My wife really loved the steak salad too.
Both lunch and dinner took about 60-90 minutes. It was a nice break from the parks and great to get some air conditioned relief from the heat!

The girls love the place and we have found the service to be fast but we book opening around 11:30am

We have early dinner ADR at 4:30....I'm not really concerned if the service is a bit slow. The atomsphere is so fun and it will just be a good break from the heat!

We are usually paying the bill when the 45 minute loop starts back up again. So definitely not two hours.

I've never made it twice through the movie loop, and I like to take my time and enjoy the air conditioning, and relax in the dark. I've kept my meals simple (hamburger, reuben) and it's been fine. The onion rings are yummy.

We ate lunch in July. I don't think we made it quite through two film loops so it was less than an hour and a half. Service was good and fairly prompt. The only thing was their payment system was down and they couldn't run my credit card through. The server wanted to write down my card info and run it through when it was back up but I had enough cash and just paid that way. I work for a grocery store HQ and I was surprised they don't have a backup system.

I've had lunch there twice. I really like it. Drinks and desserts are wonderful!!
