Sci-Fi or 50's Prime Time?

My wife and daughter preferred 50's diner, they had a lot of fun with it. I prefer Sci Fi, but I enjoy bad Sci Fi movies also. Neither is a bad choice. The milkshakes at Sci Fi are as good as advertised.

I can't speak for Sci-Fi, but I enjoyed the food and atmosphere of 50's Prime Time and would certainly go there again.

I've been to both, and Sci-Fi has become a must do for my husband and I. The food at Prime time was fine, but we've both been blown away with what we get at Sci-Fi. Last time I had an amazing salmon sandwich. The atmosphere is also more our speed; you can relax there, whereas with the gimmicks at Prime Time, I feel like energy is completely different.

I prefer Sci Fi.
I think the antics of the servers is what really makes or breaks Prime Time, and a few times we've got servers that really didn't "play along"--just provided regular service. This was disappointing.

My favorite thing about Sci Fi is if it's a really hot day, the dark coolness feels SO refreshing. Yes, you can't really talk as a family with that type of seating arrangement, but sometimes at Disney I feel like I need to just unwind in solitude anyway.

And I also like not eating in near total darkness.

I had to use the flashlight on my cell phone at Sci-Fi just to read the menu. Another downside for me at the Sci-Fi is the car booths. Being somewhat Pooh-sized, it was a tight squeeze to get in.


I'll be hopping over to HS on an upcoming trip just to eat at 50's. I like the atmosphere and the food is better than Sci-Fi (IMO).

We have done both several times and Sci-Fi is one of our go to spots. That being said if you are using the dining plan 50's is a better use of the plan. Everything but the steak at Sci-Fi is for Disney moderately priced. And I do like the pot roast at 50's.

Thanks, everyone! After some discussion and menu perusing we decided to let DD make the final decision and she decided we're going with Sci-Fi. Hope we like it!
