We need a 1 credit meal at DS....which one is better for food and fun? or is Mama Melrose a better choice? Thanks as always!!

We like them both.

We usually alternate: 1 year 50's, 1 year Sci-Fi

This year is our turn to do Sci-Fi. Some of the food can be questionable at the Sci-fi. The burgers and artichoke dip are our favorite.

We've never had a bad meal at 50's and the dad's sundae is the absolute best.

I have been to both, I would go 50's PT. The pot roast is super good, great milkshakes and wonderful desserts. Also the theme and service we received was top notch.

That is really tough because we love them both! Sci Fi is a nice quiet fun place to eat while 50's Prime Time is loud and boistrous and kitchy and fun

Love them both! I think the food at 50's is a little better than Sci-Fi, but the atmosphere at Sci-fi is great- if you're going with kids, they would love it. Mama Melrose isn't bad either, but if you're looking for a more fun atmosphere then go with either 50's or Sci-Fi.

If you are doing F!, you could do the F! dinner package for reserved F! seating, beats waiting in line forever to get to see F! But, of course that is either Mama Melrose or HnV for 1 TS credit. I am trying both Sci-fi and 50s this year, CAN'T WAIT!!!! Have fun!

We like them both, but if we had to choose one of them...I would go with 50's PT. Everyone needs to do 50's at least once. My favorites are between the pot roast and fried chicken. In fact we are headed to 50's in just over 4 weeks, can't wait.

Another vote for 50's Prime Time. My 8 year old son just loves it there!

We've never eaten at Sci-Fi, but we really like 50s. We love the atmosphere and the way the CMs interact with their "family members." (Ask for Cousin Jennifer! She's the best!)

I loved my fish sandwich that I ordered for lunch at the beginning of October. My DH had the meatloaf, and he said it wasn't that good.

Back in September 2008, we had fried chicken and roast beef for dinner. Both of those were amazing!

For dessert, I recommend the Boston creme cupcake (Out of this world!!!) or Dad's brownie sundae.

I just asked a very similar question. It is nice to see all the opinions. Good luck on making a decision. I am still not sure.

We will be going to both - on the same day no less. We like the atmosphere of Sci-Fi. We are going there for lunch because the burgers are really good. We are going to 50's Prime Time for dinner - fried chicken for me and pot roast for dh and dd. Same old, same old for the kiddies no matter where they eat.

If just for the food, probably 50's, but my kids LOVE the whole
Sci-Fi experience!:scared1:
Its like nothing they've ever seen of course, and get a big kick out of the B movie trailers.

And thankfully, the food has been good every time also.
(we usually stick with something simple like burgers or sandwiches and shakes)

50's PT hands down. The food is great and the service is fun. SciFi is cool to do once, but the food is terrible and has been for a long time.

My vote would be for 50's Prime Time.

On our last trip, we did both. While we had a good time at Sci-Fi, I didn't particularly enjoy not being able to look face-to-face with the other members of our party.

I actually think it's pretty good, and I eat almost every day.popcorn::
Guess thats what makes it a horse race!
