Sci Fi Onion Rings

If you get an Angus Burger at lunch, can you get onion rings instead of fries and if so how much would they charge? Or do you have to order them as an appetizer and still get the fries?

I don't think they will substitute, but you never know unless you ask. I hear in general wdw is becoming less accommodating of requests like this.

In my experience the onion rings are only offered as an appetizer. I have not gotten them to substitute them as a replacement for the fries.

I have gotten them as a substitute for the fries, you just have to ask. One time I was charged around $3 for the substitution (nothing was said about the price difference while ordering) and another time I wasn't charged - go figure. I will ask about it on our next trip and if there is a charge I will just order them as an appetizer since I will get more and it won't cost muc more money than the fry-to-ring charge.
