Sci-Fi hard to get?

Yes it’s hard! I tried when my 60 days opened and nothing was available. I tried every day for a month and nothing. I set an alarm on mouse dining and finally 2 days ago a 3:05 came through my alerts! I got it and was so happy. Sci Fi is our family tradition. I only had 2 people on this alert so I’m not sure if it would be harder for more people.
Oh and don’t forget dining reservations open at 5:45 now. They changed it.
You can make dining adr's at 5:45 am online now???

Back in May - I tried 2,3,4 and finally 5 people before any times showed available for SciFi -

Last Tuesday (July 6) was our 60 day mark. I was up and ready to go to get Sci-Fi first thing. Originally nothing showed up for it, so I booked Mama Melrose instead. After getting the rest of our ADRs, I went back and checked. I kept changing the times (12, 12:30 , 1 etc) and finally one popped up. I grabbed it real fast, and then cancelled Mama Melrose. We are a party of 3, so it does work. I was completed by 6:30 with everything. Don’t give up hope!! ::MickeyMo

We just got back and had not been able to get Sci-Fi before we left. However, it popped up the night before our last HS day and I snagged it. It turned out to be one of favorite meals of the trip and the only meal without any errors on our orders.

I noticed that a lot on the app - many reservations that were not available popped up while we were there! Good luck!

Yep, always check the day/ night before. People do change their plans & cancel a lot of ADRs the night before. They hold on as long as possible but cancel last minute to avoid the no show fees. Lots of good adrs can show up last minute. My DS wanted CG for his birthday. We could only get a 5 pm when our booking opened. Two nights before, I was able to grab a perfect 7 pm spot. In April, I saw Topolinos dinner & BOG. I got a Le Cellier day of too.

This morning was our 60 day window too. The only Sci Fi I could find was Day 6, Fri Sept 17 around 4pm.

Keep trying! Goodluck :earsboy:

Now for some reason the ADR system won't let me into Fri anymore? lol

Nothing has changed on our end. Same tickets, Park Reservations and room. Worked this morning, I still have that Tiffins reservation we made, but now that day is closed for us to access.

This is the only one I'm worried about lol.

Oh yikes! My ADR day is coming up, and I wanted sci-fi for lunch on day 3, the 19th. Do you think Beaches and Cream will also be filled? Because I legit might just need to schedule quick service for hollywood studios day.
I had a much easier time finding B&C slots today than Sci Fi. For B&C I was looking for Tues and Thurs and found many time slots as I was checking today. But Sci-Fi was much harder... all day I've been checking each of the 6 days we're there. Only found a reservation for our Day 6 on a Friday.

Is Sci-fi filling all of their tables or are they still operating at reduced capacity?

I want to report I was able to reserve Sci-fi for our trip in September today. It didn't show up until 60+2 days and that was only 1 time slot so you may need to look a bit out if you want this reservation.

Now all we need to do is pray our way into a Topolinos reservation. We didn't see any available for our entire 7 day trip.

Was recently there. Not all the cars were filled but people were being turned away, and reservations were full. This has to do more with not having enough servers at the moment, then reduced capacity. I can't even tell you how many people were training when I was there, in restaurants and in general

One server I had was literally called that morning to return to work, with no notice

We just got back from our trip and ate at sci-fi for the first time. For what its worth, it was our least favorite meal of the trip. Nothing was WRONG with anything (besides the fact that my tomato on my burger was completely hard and green) but it was just nothing special at all, we are a party of 5 and awkwardly seated spaced apart in our car, and it was super expensive. I love an expensive meal (The BOATHOUSE and Cinderella's Royal Table were TO DIE FOR) but this was boring burgers. mehhhh
