We are on the DDP with our party of 10 and 4 of them (adults) have never been to WDW (can you belive it!). Trying to make good choices as the official family travel agent (sigh). We're paying cash for HOB to have the 2 credits for CG our last night. Anyone have comments on Sci-Fi for dinner? Anything close by outside of MGM?

Here's our picks so far:

MK-Ohana
AK/D.Quest- HOB
Epcot-Tempanyaki
MGM-Sci-Fi
WaterPark/PleasureI-LeCellier
Last Day-California Grill

Can Tempanyaki accomodate all those people on one table? Just wondering, you might want to ask.

Also, House of Blues , I've heard very very mixed reviews, actually toward the bad on HOB's, but everyone loves places like wolfe gang express and Earl of sandwich (EOS is very cheap and i've NEVER heard a bad thing) what if you ate light that day and used CS credits..then again if money isnt an object have fun with it :)

I wouldnt go to Sci Fi with all those people, there is limited large seating areas for groups, infact the largest table i've seen was for like 8. You wont be talking in there, its a movie "set" thing, i'm sure its cool tho, but i think you will be disappointed with your large group. What about moving Le Cellier over to your Epcot day and adding another restaurant to your water park day?

Where are you staying? Both Chef's de France at Epcot and Spoodles at the Boardwalk are getting yummy reviews and Spoodles give you tons of free add-ons like lots of grilled shrimp and scallops. Kona is everyones favorite, rarely hear anything bad. Plus if you do Kona early enough you can go out to the "beach" at the poly and chill and watch Wishes.

have a good time!

Sci-Fi - yuck! But that is just my opinion, and we've only eaten there just that once. Mama Melrose was really good, and so was Prime Time. We always love eating at the Brown Derby.

Good luck!

I like Mama Melrose's. I also like the Sci-Fi but I agree with a previous poster about the seating. It can be difficult for large groups. The best seats are 4 person cars.

May I suggest the Fantasmic dinner package to get good seats for the best night time Disney event there is.

I have to agree with Diznygirl! We ate at Sci-Fi a couple of weeks ago and I didn't like the food at all. Maybe it was an off day, :confused3 but we won't be going back there for a while.

Don't eat dinner at Sci-Fi ... it was by far the worst meal of our trip. You sacrifice food quality for atmosphere. Yuck and Double-Yuck!! :sad2:

We loved Sci-Fi we though it was brilliant. We really couldn't understand the complaints about it

I love the burgers at Sci-Fi. (You can still request them at Dinner) The shakes are great, too. I don't know why it has a bad rap but just stick to Drive-in type meals and you should be fine. :thumbsup2

Burgers and only burgers, I thought we would be safe with a rueben but it had no flavor at all.
