Sci-fi for a 5yr old?

I agree with Skater and Blue Skies, we ate there last June and my DS was 7. He really liked the idea of eating in the cars but really didn't care for the movie clips. Thanks to the disboards I knew when the syringe part was coming up and I told him not to look. We went mostly because of the dining experience but it wasn't any fun wondering what clip was coming on next. But really it does depend on the child. A lot of people really like eating here but for us, we probably wont go back for a while if at all.

Both my kids (4) loved Scifi and we were there enjoying the atmosphere for quite a while. We had a blast!!

my 3yr old didn't like it at first but then loved it....the first time I went with my kids they were 3 & 5 and it was a blast...it really depends on the kids...when you make your ADR ask for a car...not a strech (if you want to sit IN the car instead of in chairs with a table (car is hood & trunk only).

We are going in a few weeks for the first time and I can't wait. My kids have bee to a drive in a few times and will think this is so cool. And so what if the food is just so so. This is definitely an atmosphere type of place for us! Anything better than McDonald's level food will be fine for this evening.

Thanks for all the info. My DD might not be quite ready for it. Maybe in a couple more years. Or, I'll try to check it out without her and see what I think. I like the idea of laughing at the movies and letting her know that they are funny-not scary. thanks again! We'll try it again someday!
