How is the Sci Fi Diner?

Food's not great, but restaurant's a lot of fun!

We have only been there once. On the advice of multiple guide books DH & I just had dessert. DS had a burger, fries, and a shake. I tasted DS's food and it was fine - overpriced - but fine. Our server was absolutely TERRIFIC! The movies are cheesy, but DS loves old cheesy movies so it was perfect!

We had lunch at the Sci Fi a few months ago. It was a great burgers/fries/milkshake meal. The car we sat in was really neat and the movie trailers and cartoons made my daughter laugh. It was also cool, really quiet, and dark -- a great break from the theme park madness! If you're looking for fancier food, I suggest trying the Brown Derby, which was excellent. But if you want fun, theme dining, Sci Fi is great!



PS - we had read so many bad reviews of this place that we didn't try it on our previous trips. This time a friend recommended it and we were all glad that she did!

We eat at the Sci-Fi on every trip. The kids just love the atmosphere. I always order a burger & it is pretty good. I am a huge fan of spinach & artichoke dip, & theirs is pretty good.

We've been there 3 times. Once was great. The 2nd was horrible (cold food badly prepared, nonexistent service), and the 3rd was a blend of the 2, including the service. We had an ADR that the front desk tried to say didn't exist for some reason. It took a mgr. to find the problem even though we had the number. That wasn't a big deal, except the person who told us we didn't have an ADR did it with an attitude unbecoming any CM. Instead of adopting the "let's fix this" attitude, we got the "you're either morons or liars" attitude. My kids find the mac and cheese totally inedible there. I love the atmosphere, but it's really hit or miss which is a shame.

Not my favorite place - I'd rather do 50s Prime Time for a better experience.

Our lunch there was fine (sandwiches), but dinner was horrible. The food was just terrible and was a complete waste of a TS credit. Definitely a place to see if you're just going to have a burger or dessert.

We've been there a few times. Food is okay, but the atmosphere is great. Give it a try.

ps..last time DW broke tradition & ordered the spinach & artichoke dip so I'll second the !

Agree with others. Atmosphere is very cool, food .... err .. not so good.

Like most have said. Fun place and its a must do for us. Its typical "drive-in" type food. I love it, but I don't mind burgers/fries from the dirty spoon cafe

Reuben were good last year. The server was great. It is a fun place and nice to get out of the sun and heat for a while.

We have always done Sci Fi for lunch and it has been great! We really like their Burgers, Onion Rings and Milkshakes! And the kids LOVE the car and Drive In atmosphere. I have heard some not so good reviews on dinner though. We think it is great for lunch!
