We had lunch at Sci-Fi on June 7th. We had an ADR for 2:40, checked in at 2:20, they were running about 20 minutes behind so it was right around 3:00 when we were seated. We were seated in the front car on the right. Our first time at Sci-Fi and we really enjoyed it.

We had visited CRT the day before for DD and Sci-Fi was DS choice. I sprung for the drinks with the lights and you don't have to get the lemonade you can get a soda if you'd like.

DH ordered the Italian Grilled Chicken Sandwich with fries - it was a big sandwich, looked like either two breast pieces or a butterfly fillet. He loved it.

I ordered the Smoked Turkey sandwich with the cucumber salad. My sandwich was very good. I was kind of leary as I don't like warmed turkey on a sandwich and was relieved that it wasn't. It was sort of like a club sandwich and it was very good. I really loved the cucumber salad which was thin sliced cucumbers in a dressing.

DS ordered the Angus Chuck Burger - meat & cheese only (American cheese) with fries and he polished it off.

DD got the kids meal with the hot dog & fries which she finished almost all of.

DH & I split a hot fudge sundae and the kids each got their own.

We enjoyed watching the movie clips - DD covered her eyes some but she wasn't really scared. Our waiter took great care of us but I can't remember his name.

This was a nice break from the heat and very relaxing. The movie clips were a good distraction - usually the kids scarf down their food and are ready to go before we are finished.

Would visit Sci-Fi again.

They were booked to capacity and turning lots of walk in's away who had not planned on a place to dine in advance.

I absolutely LOVE Sci Fi as well!! Such a great place to dine, i love the atmosphere. Thats what does it for me. im all about atmosphere (cause most food make me happy!) :cloud9: But I do love the food their. LOVE their ribs! YUMMY!

Glad you enjoyed yourself as well! ;)

Can't wait! I booked us lunch there. I wanted it last year, but I booked it too early and no one was hungry then. :lmao:

Sci-Fi is always a must-do for us. Glad you enjoyed it.

I went for the first time in May. We paid OOP.

I did like the atmosphere and was glad I went; however, probably wouldn't bother again as the food was just so-so.

It's basically a "been-there-done-that" kind of place for me.

We have always enjoyed Sci-Fi. Your DH got what I always get and I love it too. Dh usually gets the burger and says that it is one of the best on property (Le Cellier is numero uno in the burger deptarment). Our two boys, 5 & 9, also really love the atmosphere and finish off their plates.

Sci-Fi is like 50's PTC in that you'll get some that love the atmosphere and food and other that go primarily for just the atmosphere. Personally, I like both the food and atmosphere at Sci-Fi and just enjoy the atmosphere at 50's.

Glad you enjoyed it.

We love the Si-fi. Its the first TS restaurant we eat at every time we stay, not because its got the best food, but its just become a bit of a family tradition, it means our holiday has begun:cool1:The atmospher is so relaxing and its cool, and i remember when DS was 5 he was super super fussy about his food and the way it looked, but because it was so dark he couldnt see his food properly, he didnt spot the seeds on his burger bun:rotfl:The movie clips are hilarious too.

Whoa! Is this actually a POSITIVE Sci-Fi thread??? I am shocked! Usually every time I talk-up Sci-Fi in other threads as a suggestion for people I get smacked down!

Obviously with the crowds they have I'm not the only one who likes the place ... finally glad to see some of those people are here on the boards too!!! :3dglasses

My family and I love Sci-Fi as well! It is so out of the norm with the fun car seats and the old B movie scenes and cartoons! It is DEFINITELY a Disney Must-Do for us every time we go!!! :thumbsup2

You know what I DO miss though??? What happened to the little basket of popcorn you used to get? Does anyone else remember that? It was a nice touch ... and really ... how much could that have cost that Disney had to bump it out? :guilty:

ANYWAY, take care all!!! :goodvibes

Our family loves Sci Fi! I'm pretty sure we go mostly for the atmosphere and not the food :lmao: We usually just get the cheeseburgers which are really good, nothing outstanding, but good. The environment is worth the trip alone I love the feel of the restaurant! We do it every trip :goodvibes

I haven't been to Disney in 12 years, but the one place that always stand out in my mind for a restaurant is Sci-Fi. It was my first ADR I made for our July vacation. I know my kids will like it as much as I did.

This is how I feel too.
