Ive eaten there twice, once in a car and once at one of the back tables. To be honest the food was not bad. It wasnt great but it was not as bad as everyone has said. I liked the back table better. I was able to hold a conversation with the people I was with a lot better and I dont need the constant stimulation of a movie while I am eating.
I second dburg's sentiments. Keep to the simple stuff. They have a really good burger, and Yuengling on tap. I recall the onion rings being pretty good too. I would avoid anything complicated, like the shrimp pasta as these sorts of things do not seem to be a strength in this context. This is likely why the reviews are so mixed.Stick with boring food and you'll love it. ie: burgers, fries, shakes etc etc. Most people that dont like it seem to order 'fancier' named foods, and sci-fi "aint that kinda place"It's a DRIVE IN!!! you dont get fancy food at a drive in!
I highly recommend the Sci-Fi for lunch. When I think of dinner, I prefer a little more than ribs or sandwich with fries. I have had some very good food, as well as a grilled chicken sandwich that was dry. The experience is well worth it. Those Comets are dangerous!
