Sci-Fi any opinions?

We enjoyed the food and the themeing. I actually thought the burger was quite good. We went off season and it wasn't crowded..maybe that helped. We like the Sci Fi better then CRT!!

This was the restaurant my 10 year old daughter really wanted to go to on our last visit. It is really a great idea-except the food was awful!!! The kids had burgers and thought it was fine. My husband and I sent our food back-we thought it wasn't even worth eating!!! IF they could figure out the food problem-it would be great fun for everyone!!! It's a drive-in, they should stick with drive-in/dinner type food!!!

due to the bad reviews but are we sure glad we ignored them! We had a very good lunch (not incredible but hey, it was burgers and they were good!) and the themeing is great! We enjoyed it and will go again!

We went last Sept on the dining plan. Between the 5 of us, we had burgers, sandwiches and salads. All were good, as were the appetizers we had. I thought our server was quite good- I think there was a drink mix up, but he fixed it quickly. Best of all, my daughter was acting extremely fussy and making it hard for me to eat (she was 6 months old); when the server brought my hamburger, he took my DD and walked her around the restaurant so I could eat!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I cannot tell you how nice I thought that was- he got an extra tip from me!

My DD and I like Sci Fi, most times we go for lunch, last time was last Sunday. It's one of the few restaurants that she will ask to go too She likes sitting in the cars. I like the theming, and we have always been fortunate to have great servers. I do need to remember to take a flashlight though.....

I had BLT soup and salad, and DD had fruit/cheese/yogurt appetizer and Mac and Cheese.

The place has been around for a long time and is very popular so they're obviously doing things that a lot of people like. We found the food to be dreadful and the atmosphere did little to rescue it.

We love to go to Sci-Fi for burgers at lunch. They have very good burgers. Not too thrilled with anything else they have there.
It's fun place also !!

the theming was great. i really enjoyed seeing some of the campy sci-fi clips that i havent seen as a child. my kids thought it was cool also. the food was ok, not great but not bad. what seperated it from other places we ate at was the service we recieved on our last trip. my DS#2 who is a picky eater ordered a chicken sandwich without any sauce on it. when it came of course it came back with sauce on it and he wouldnt eat it. so i called the waiter over to order something else and he asked me what was wrong so i told him and he said he would be right back. within a few minutes he came back with a fresh plate and a sandwich made without sauce. i was greatful, my DS was greatful, peace reigned again. i was so happy with the waiters prompt action with my son's sandwich. he saved what could have been a very touchy situation. i was so pleased that when we left i asked to see the manager. we told her exactly what happened and said he should be commendated for what he did even though Sci-Fi was very busy. she thanked us and told us that usually the patrons who want to speak to her are only the ones who want to complain. Good time was had by all.

I just ate here in Febuary for lunch and the food was good. My friend and I split the bbq chicken sandwich, it was tasty. I would go again, have eaten there 4-5 times and have never had a problem. I have always ordered sandwiches, so maybe that's why I've never had a problem.

I LOVE the theming at Sci-fi, Always have had good meals there.

My husband and I went to WDW for our honeymoon and Sci-Fi was our first TS. It was great!! The waiter we had was so friendly and we even got a magical moment certifcate. I had a BBQ chicken sandwhich and DH had a burger..we even got Shakes for Dessert and we asked for them to go with no problems!!

We loved it! The theme is a lot of fun, the food was good too. We went for lunch. Went against what everyone told us and ordered ribs for dh, steak sandwich for me. Turned out to be quite tastey :thumbsup2 It's the only restaraunt we ate at last time that we're planning on going to again.

We enjoy the Sci-Fi. The kids love going there. It's not 5 star dining, but we've enjoyed every meal we've had. The onion rings are great! :thumbsup2

We really loke Sci-Fi. On our last three trips i keep trying to get to Prime -Time but our kids always beg for Sci-Fi! We thought the food was quite good. Never had any problems with the food. I think we only have ordered sandwiches and salads and deserts. the milkshakes and sundaes are really good. I would say try it.

You might be wise to check the menu before you go. We found it rather restricting. In fact, after being seated and given a menu we left. Menus are available at all ears net if you would like a preview.

It has to be about 10 years since we last went. (LOL, it's taken 10 years to get over the experience) but we are considering having lunch there in June (with no expectation of fine dining, basically for the atmosphere, if I can still get ADR's) we will be a party of 5, does the car accommodate that many or will we need to split up?

TIA,
Alice

We really like SCi-Fi. We are paying out of pocket to eat lunch there in Oct even though we have the meal plan. Stick with basics-burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, onion rings, milkshakes and I bet you'll enjoy it. One time I got a shrimp pasta thing-not a good choice.

We went there 2 weeks ago, and had a very nice lunch, the kids had typical kids stuff and finished all of it, they also had the glow cubes in their drinks which they loved, we all shared the onion rings as an appetizer, my DH had the ruben which was very good, I had the chicken caesar salad, that was great....
It is a great way to take a break, and cool down. We will go back....

Sci Fi is by far my FAVORITE restaurant at disney. (I'm 14.) We eat there every time we go, sometimes even more than once. The atmosphere is spectacular, and the food (I must be in the minority here...) is great as well. My family enjoys it every time (Mom, aunt, and grandma) and they love the food too. The drinks with the colored glow ice cubes are a favorite of mine too.
