Who can help me...I've heard a lot of people commenting on how good "Schoolbread" from Norway is...but I have no idea what it is? Help!!:upsidedow

It is sort of like a donut but the outside is a little less soft than a donut. It is covered in a glaze and coconut, inside is a really light pastry cream.

I had one of these on our last visit there. One word--delish!!!!:thumbsup2

I don't have a pic handy, but if you do an image search in Yahoo with the term "school bread norway epcot" you'll get a bunch of pics.

Let me tell you, I've been to Disney countless times, and had never seen the visual appeal of this "schoolbread". Then I kept reading about it on these boards and I tried it, 1st mistake, sharing it with my son, second mistake, only buying one. If you like doughy donuts and pastry cream not to mention coconut, you'll love these. Years ago I could swear that at one time they had just caramel on top instead of coconut.

Love it, usually have 1 for a snack and take another one for breakfast the next day.

I can't wait to try one on our upcoming trip.

Do they make any minus the coconut - or can you request one that way?

That's the whole reason I haven't tried one yet, I'm not a huge fan of coconut. So I'd also love to know if you can request one without!

Absolutely devine!

I have virtually no sweet tooth, but I could eat that school bread EVERY DAY!!

I never would have tried it if I hadn't read about it on the DIS, and I'm sooooo glad I did!

Actually, pretty much every specific item people rave about here ended up being FABULOUS! (imo!) The school bread, the grey goose slushie, the Dole whips....
Yep, the DIS hasn't steered us wrong yet!

Icky. I was really looking forward to one of these after all the hype, the school bread wasn't anything special. Bland and tasteless.
