School hasn't even started yet and we received an order form in the mail already. DS is in 7th grade and the yearbook costs $65 and is due Sept. 15th. When I was in HS we didn't have yearbooks until 10th grade. I guess a school ring will be next. :crazy2: :confused3

My kids have had yearbooks every year since kindergarten.

They usually order them in Dec., though. Two years ago the HS started something new - they don't deliver the yearbooks until October. Their reasoning is that they can get all of the school events in the yearbook. It ticks me off - DD graduated in June and has no yearbook yet. I guess they deliver them to the school and it's up to you to pick them up. There went the traditional signing of the books by your classmates, laughing with them over pics and sayings, and just enjoying the book over the summer.

A 7th grade yearbook is $65?! Our's are $55 at my school (though that could rise again this year) for a basic yearbook. But I'm in high school.
When I was in 7th grade I think my yearbook went from $10 to $12. And that seemed like a steep price increase then:D . This year I'll pay a ton but that's cuz it's senior year so I want everything in it.

Yearbook pick up in October?! Someone must have forgotten to tell them that the point of a yearbook is the signing and writing memories in it. That's awful.
