Natalie
I'm just checking in really quick....
I am so excited that I had to share (not that you guys may care)
but, just since I have changed to not eating starches, since Wednesday, I lost 3.4#'s...hoping by the 7th day I at least hit 5#'s. This may give me incentive yet!
Taking Ashton to a photo shoot with live bunnies and chicks, his first, hoping he poses cute and sweet and not trying to bring in the monster claws.
Have a great day! everyone

thanks! Jen I will look into that oneBlue Lagoon also has a Dolphin Swim, Dolphin encounter and a seal encounter
Ashton will make an adorable Prince Charming!
When we were in Nassau, we did the DIY walking tour and visited Ardastra Botanical Garden and Zoo. We enjoyed the garden, but I don't know that I would pay to go there again. The walking tour was a lot of fun. Jeff and I are not really "lay on the beach" people and we had just spent the day before snorkeling on the Royal Caribbean private island. I'd say definitely do some snorkeling.....the excursions seem to be expensive in Freeport, but Stuart's Cove in Nassau has a cool trip that has three snorkel stops and one where you get to swim with sharks if you choose.
Definitely visit the Straw Market in Nassau....just have your bargaining skills honed and ready to go! I'd skip Atlantis.....it's just a big commercial resort as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure it's beautiful, but it is what it is. I'd choose one of the local beach packages, like Cable Beach. I've heard good things about that one.
So exciting to think about the Bahamas....we have snow on the ground here this morning so the white sand beaches sound good right about now!
Enjoy your planning!![]()
Hey Connie, just a little piece of advise as far as a costume goes for MNSSHP party... Remember it is still going to be pretty HOT in Sept and you want to make sure whatever costume you go with for Ashton is light weight. We have been to the event 2x's now and I have to tell you I have seen kids in these bulky costumes sweating their little butts off and they looked absolutely miserable!!!
Last we went to the party was in 2009 and we have Devon do Pirates League before the party!!! What an awesome experience and so worth it. And this was the 1st time Devon really had his full face painted too and he was fine with it. It was hot that night too and the makeup didn't run at all!!! Matter to fact he fell asleep on the bus and slept right through the night with his face painted and it still looked good when he woke up!!!One thing I found was it took some serious scrubbing to get that paint off his face the next morning!
Joining in!!! Your plans look good! I want to make Jack an appointment at the Pirates League as well, and maybe even one for myself... but we will see if that's in the budget. Looking forward to more!
Hey! Mary,Congrats on cutting out the starchs!! I love me some bread so it is always a challenge here. Congrats also on the weight loss.
I love to snorkel!! Also like either of the other ones-resort or beach. We did both when we went to Mexico on DCL!!
My girls always want to get their faces painted but with the heat and sweat-i just dont know...
to the fun Stephanie! I think I'm going to go ahead and try to get the last appt of the day; the day of MNSSHP and than this summer maybe have his face done at the zoo and see what he thinks. If a no I will cancel the appt.

I am starting to get soooo nervous and excited! I always get nervous before any big trip...I'm terrible just before I leave for Disney!Let me know if he swings back to thelaughing:It is ready to go for you!
Jill, I really think he is going as a pirate! easiest and I can make it cool or warm whichever way I need to go...aarrrrggghhhh!
I am so sorry to hear about all the health issues that you guys have had! It is so frustrating, isn't it??
That is just called getting old! and enjoying food just a bit too much!it is not bad; it could be worse! we are just both at that age where our metabolism is slowing down, we are not spring chickens anylonger...
Have fun choosing your cruise excursions! It sounds like so much fun!![]()
First, congrats on loosing weight.Every pound counts! Making a lifestyle change is so hard, you should be very proud of yourself for it!
Yes, it is hard....although, Danny and I have been doing really well since last week. We even went out to eat last night and I ordered a steak, side salad, and steamed veggies. He ordered a hamburger steak w/onions & mushrooms, side salad, and chili. Today on the other hand, we had to go to a "wake" so I rode with my parents (now my mom is full blown diabetic/on medication) she wanted CHINESEI just did not know how to order...so, I'm sure I did not do too well. I ordered the shrimp and brocoli w/fried rice (I brought the rice home to Dayne) and a cup of egg drop soup. I'm sure the soup was the only thing that was OK! the shrimp/broc had some sort of sauce
I agree on testing Ashton out of the facepainting before doing the Pirate's League. I'm sure we would try Noah out again, but not for MNSSHP. He just rubbed it off way too soon.
All your ideas for the excursions look fun. I have only snorkeled a few times and I will say it took some getting use to, but it was really cool to do and see the fishies. Oh, and the shallower water, the easier it is.![]()
