Hi all

Have been to Disneyland during October half term and Easter school holidays. October was incredibly busy and queues during the day for some of the more popular rides were 2 hours long. Easter was busy but much quieter than end October/Halloween.

Have any of you any experience of any other school holidays - Feb and May half term, Summer holidays - are they all as busy or are some quieter than others? During the 6 week summer hols, are all weeks busy or does it tend to be quieter early on than get busy towards Bak Holiday or vice versa :confused3

Just wanting to plan a trip for next year  and looking at best time to go for rides etc.

Also might go for a couple of days mid November this year if I can get a cheapish deal as have never seen the Christmas decorations. Is this a relatively quiet time to go (after Halloween but before mid December)?

Finally (sorry - getting excited at the thought of going again!!:yay: ) - does it get really busy at weekends too? have only ever been during the week before.

Thanks for your advice.

I can't help with holidays I'm afraid as we haven't been in the holidays for over 10 years.

However the parks are much busier at the weekends than they are during the week.

Yes I've been during Feb & May half terms and it was busy, but I'm sure not as busy as Easter and Halloween when French schools are on holiday too.

Can you remember in Feb and May half terms what the queuing times were like for rides like Buzz and BTM?

I think it varied according to time of day, but certainly up to an hour - sometimes much less. We had no problem finding plenty of stuff to go on and avoiding big queues. However we did use EMH every day (so wouldn't go on Buzz later in the day) and BTM is the only rollercoaster we go on.

My first ever trip to DLRP was in Feb half term 2007. I honestly didn't think it was that busy, I think it helps that Feb half terms seem to be evenly split in England & Wales, so not every school has the same week off.

I remember being able to do Dumbo, the Carousel and the Teacups outside of EMH (as there wasn't any at that time), in the mornings, so it can't have been that bad (we don't do queues ;) ).

We probably used fastpass for PP and Buzz that first trip, and we don't do any of the big coasters so I can't help you with that.
Our Feb half term holiday was before the start of the 15th anniversary, so you do have to factor in that it did become busier overall due to those celebrations.

I was at DLRP midweek mid-November last year, and it was very quiet - fantastic to see all the Christmas shows, decorations etc, and cold and raining, but still great, and I will be doing Christmas season again at DLRP

there is an offer on the disney website for november at the moment for two days free on a three night stay at sl or npb
