School Holiday in Sept??

Someone had posted recently some schools were out in Sept (not just Labor Day). Does anyone know when this was??

NYC public schools may be closed on September 16 for Rosh Hashanah.

Other than Labor Day, there really aren't any holidays commonly taken off by school children. Some children who go to schools that follow a year-long calendar could possible be off if it is their track's time for a break. Children of the Jewish faith often do not attend on Rosh Hashanah (which is on Sept. 15 at sundown through Sept. 16) or Yom Kippur (Sept. 24-25); however, it is extremely unlikely that those children will be at Disney on those days.

My children attend Christian school in Georgia. They are out Sept 29-Oct 1 for a statewide teacher conference. Can't imagine we would impact much (tho are looking into getting a deal for a quick trip during that time!)

I had posted about the LA (CA) schools that are on a regular schedule not starting again until September 9th. On top of that there are a lot of year round schools in the LA area that are out of session at that time.
