Our principle wants our PTO to sell those window decals/clings that are oval and are like the ones you get from the beach with 3 letters. Anyone have any company recomendations for companies that offer great prices and service? Any experience/preference with clings or removable stickers. What is the difference? Thanks for your help and your thoughts, even if your a parent that has bought one of these.

My only experience with the clings...

I bought one in Sept. My car is an outdoor car (no garage) It baked on, and when I wanted to remove it the next fall, it stuck. This was 2006. To this day, I still have that stupid cling on my car (90% covered by the new school's decal!)

Thanks, this is exactly what I want to hear. How much did you pay for the clings. In my research people wanted clings but like you I was reading lots of complaints. A couple of places offer guaranteed removable stickers and would love to hear some experince on those.

Please let us know what company you are using...I need to get this organized for my dd's school as well.

What about magnets instead? Seems easier to apply and remove from a car than a cling or decal. Our school sells oval magnets for $3, but I'm guessing people would pay more for one.

What about looking on eBay for someone who can make a large quantity for you?

We have done magnets and they just refuse to do those again. Something new and those type of stickers are" really popular" now, at least that is what they tell me. hahahaha

Ebay, will check that out

Our school sells the magnets for $3. I like those because I was able to transfer mine to our new car this fall without any problem! Personally, I probably wouldn't buy a sticker or cling for the reasons mentioned by previous posters.

I've got a company...But don't have it on me right now - I'll write again tomorrow when I have it.

Ordered 300 of the window clings and 300 of the magnets earlier this year for our PTO. The local company we use for school clothing merchandise told me straight out to use this online guy as she 'couldn't touch his price'. I think we're selling the magnet for $3 and the cling for $2. That said, we aren't using it as a fundraiser and honestly, I would think you need to have a REALLY huge school to make this a worthwhile fundraiser. We have 600 kids in our school and have sold MAYBE 50 - 100 so far...and we've 'made' maybe $1 - $2 per item (like I said, we aren't using it as a fundraiser but rather a school spirit type thing). Even if half the kids buy one...We'd make a whopping $500 - $600, unless we mark them up a bunch more...and honestly I don't think they'd sell if we were marking them up more.

I'll write in with the company name tomorrow. But I would rethink this as a worthwhile fundraiser if I was you.

Thank you for the info. I also wanted to say that this is not a fundraiser but more of just something school spirit wise to sell at open house and during our membership drive.

Company name is Homelandfundraising.

I have a price sheet he sent out in May. If you want me to forward it to you - PM me your email address.

Thanks...I will PM you. We aren't thinking fundraiser either---but something that our PTO purchases to give to each family at Back to School Night. We did this a few years ago and it was very popular---but the mom who organized it is no long at the school.

Thanks!

Thanks everybody, we are thinking we will go with Homelandfundraising also.

Just wanted to add that in my research we are going to charge $10 per family for our membership this year. As a bonus we are going to make our own membership cards and add a few discounts for local businesses on the back. Our grade levels sell them for spirit cards but were going to split some of the businesses, like we have several pizza/donut/coffee places. This shouldn't mess with their fundraising and will just be a little bonus for our parents.

The DIS has the BEST parents!!

Oh my, just got off the phone with Kevin at homeland fundraising and he is so nice. THANK YOU, BRYMOLMOM !!!!
