Just curious, how many Southern California schools are being affected by the H1N1 (swine flu) closure. Doesnt' seem too many up here in Northern Cal. And if there are a significant amount, do you think that will increase the attendance in DL?
IMO, the school closure thing is going to level out. There is such a backlog on tests for this flu that many places are only testing the very sick that end up hospitalized......

We have a number of schools her in Nor Cal closed for a week. I personally think it's stupid but whatever nobody asked me. If they were to close my son's school Disneyland here we come!
I live close by in Fullerton. My kids attend school in the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District. There is one child in our district who is a probable case, but not confirmed. They have decided not to close the school she attends, which I personally think is a good thing. I don't think any schools in Orange County are closed.
with schools closing all over the place- it could make changes in many family plans for the summer.
I would think they would need to add the time back in some way.
Should make for an ineresting next month or so.
At least in California, closed schools will not have to make up the missed days as the governor declared a state of emergency. Similarly, schools closed back in November due to the wildfires do not have to make up those missed days.
we don't have any closed here. Seems strange or maybe it's wrong;I keep hoping a little they will close my DD12's school. We would so head to DL!
but then I think I don't want anyone to get sick!
