Just trying to ascertain how many schools will be closed this cming Monday and Tuesday so I know what kind of crowds to expect.

Lee County, Florida schools are closed.

Who else?

Thanks!

We liv ein NC and are off the following MOnday Oct 1oth...

We will however be in WDW the 1-8

My dd's school is closed tuesday and wednesday, that's why I chose next week, so my dd didn't have to lose 5 days of school, just 3. I didn't even think of the local crowds, oh boy, now another thing to consider!!

Private school in Atlanta-- we're off the 10th.

No closures for MD during that time period. Our county has does have a closure 10/21 for MSTA conventon followed by a 2 hour early dismissal the next day.

We will be in WDW Sept. 28 through Oct. 5 though. Crowds will be at EPCOT mainly, I think. I think the Dining plan may affect crowds and restaurants slightly but, no major impact either.

Broward county, FL schools closed on Tue 10/4 (not on Mon.). But, we are also closed Fri 10/7 and an early release day on 10/6. This was my first set of dates to go in October, but changed it to later in the month (another "planning" day off on 10/21).

long island schools have off the 4th and 5th and also the 10th. wish i thought of it we could have been down there for a full week with only 3 days of school missed!!!! :flower:

The schools in Hardin County, Kentucky are closed all next week. I'm know we aren't the only ones in the area, it's Fall Break time...

Up in Ma my kids are off Oct 4th&5th the 10th and the 13th so thats why we picked the time frame of the 4th thru the 12th ( Columbus day and some Jewish holidays) Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!! :hourglass
:cool2: :bride: princess: pirate:

Hillsborough County (Tampa) schools are off Oct 13th & 14th--my kids are off, anyway, so I'm assuming it's the entire county.

Schools will be closed on various days during the week of October 3rd. People, especially locals, will be in the parks - like me - starting this Friday, the 30th and staying either through the next week or at least for a long weekend - again, like me. 9/30 - 10/4. What makes it really bad is I did not realize schools in other states were closed as well for a portion of that time period. I would imagine it will be busy this weekend and into next week.

Are you doing MNSSHP? We will be there on 9/30 for that.

NYC schools are closed the 4th, 5th, and 10th. My boss is taking his family to WDW. :cool1: Should be lotsa New Yawkas down there. Wish I was one of them.

Oh no!

Our schools are closed the 4th, 5th, 10th & 13th. That's why we are going next week.

Shoot! Looks like we weren't the only ones with that idea!

But, I'm NOT going during summer or spring break or Christmas, so, following Len's "least bad days" advice, this is what we chose. I hope we don't regret it!

Here in Philly our schools are closed the 4th, 5th, 10th & 13th. We'll be there the first week with everyone else. :earseek:

Teacher in-service training days here in our county in DE. Schools are closed the 5th, 6th and 7th makes for a really long weekend. We will be at AKL the 4th to the 10th thanks to southwest, ap rates and teacher training.

I had to cancel the trip I had planned for September 28- October 5. :guilty: :guilty:

It would have been the perfect time for us to take a value season trip without my son missing to much school.

Instead we're going during Easter break when EVERYONE will be there. :earseek: :earseek: :crowded: :crowded: :crowded:
