School Bread

I've seen pictures here of the famous Norway School Bread, and I am wondering what is sprinkled on top of the bread? Is it coconut? Nuts? It's difficult to tell from the picture. I know people here have raved about it, and I can't wait to try it!

School bread has gotten smaller, and now there's a caramel color added to the glaze. Mine was also kind of stale, so I've lost interest.

I was surprised at how much smaller it was that when we went two years ago! We were easily able to split one on our earlier visit, but not this time. Also I though there was much, much less custard in the center but maybe I'm wrong.
