It's been about a year since we've been to DW - but we will be there on 1/17 - YEAH!! One of our many "must haves" is the school bread in the Norway bakery. It seems like someone told me or I read that this bread has changed; more of a caramel looking icing or some change. Does anyone know from a recent visit. Any picture(s) would be great!
I remember reading it changed too --- we had the 'original' for the *first* time this past October. I am glad we were able to have it this past trip ... as I think your hunch is correct about it changing. I am sure it is still pretty darn tasty though -
We had this last week. Yes, the frosting has changed to a more "brown" look. We did not notice a taste difference for this. But a warning: it may have only been the time of day (3:30 pm) but the cake part was really tough.
This used to be my fav snack but not anymore....the dough part has a spice in it now like nutmeg or something....we had it in June, Aug and Oct 08 and all three times it had that funky taste. You can even see the flecks of spice in the dough
