scholastic book orders

I love the warehouse sales too. We always spend around $100.

I do want to point out they are suppose to be for teachers, home-educators etc. They haven't checked for registration/ID before the last one in the spring. Now they have a computerized registration/check-in at the warehouse nearest to my house. They have also opened a teachers store that is opened 2-3 days a week.

I need to contact DD's teacher - we haven't received a book order so far. We'll be so disappointed if this teacher doesn't want to do book orders.

Thanks for reminding me to go through DS's books and drop them off at Starbucks! They're collecting them for those that need them.

DS belonged to a club of theirs also. Bad news when you want to cancel, I agree!! Not doing it again.

I thought you could order books from their website. Aren't they doing that any longer? I can't seem to find it.

DS hasn't brought home any flyers! :( He used to love them when he was little and picked out his favorite he had to have. Now with assigned books to read, I guess he's not too interested. I'll have to ask him about them.

I love ordering books for my classroom library. They are a lot cheaper than the bookstores around here (but Costco is the cheapest). They have a great selection of books although their toys and clubs are pretty junky.

Mickey65 do you have the information about the warehouse sale in Toronto? I think it might be worth going down there for a visit!

princess pooh, it is not actually the one in toronto. It is the at the Warehouse in Brockville (which is closer for you!) I think it is around the 8th or 10th of December. I will look at the poster tomorrow and let you know for sure.

I loved 'em when I was a kid and I love 'em now! Just did 2 orders last week, 1 for DS in preschool and 1 for DS in Kindergarten. I always let them each pick one book then I get any more I think we want! I still have a couple from when I was a kid! My faves are "The Witches Bridge" and "The Ghost of Dibble Hollow"! I still read them once in awhile when the newspaper gets too stale ....!!!

I sure do love books..and as soonas we receive the scholastic book club order form it is completed within the hour to be sent back the next day:)

Mickey65 is this warehouse open only to teachers or can the pubic attend as well? If you would be so kind enough to post the information that would be great!

Thanks
Vivian

Memories!

I used to love ordering scholastic books.

And didn't they have that little magazine that would have a mini pin-up in the middle? like Mork & Mindy or Scott Baio or something like that?

Just found out that DD's teacher doesn't do book orders :(
I'll have to see if she's willing to do them if I handle it for her.

You could join scholastic on your own. They'll send you the catalog of your choice with the # of order forms you request. I've gotten the TAB order forms (grades 7 and up) for my son. When I called, I told them that my son was in public school, but his school doesn't do book orders. They were happy to mail out the catalog.

The number is 18007246527.

Thank you disneyjunkie! :)

I'll check with the teacher first, but if she says no, I'll call.
