We're going to WDW for a week in september with my 4yo twins & 4 month old (due any day now!). We're going to the MNSSHP, but I'm wondering if this schedule is "do-able". This is also the day before we leave to head home (our flight leaves sat. evening).

9:00 Bibbidy Boppity Boutique (downtown disney-the big package, but I'm very tempted by the new one in MK!)
10:30-noon My Princess Tea Party (grand floridian)
noon-4:30 open (any suggestions for how to fill this time??)
4:30 dinner @ LTT
evening MNSSHP

Any thoughts??

Thanks so much! :flower3:

I think the afternoon really needs to be down time if not naps - I assume you want the twins to still be all made up for the party so if they aren't nappers I would consider a movie at Downtown Disney for some quiet time. Aside from that on the last day we often are running to whatever we haven't gotten done or want to do again but since you have the party that night I would keep the afternoon a little calmer.

Okay first question. What is the new one at MK you were talking about?

Here's my opinion. Can your husband stay back with the baby and then meet up with you. Unless your nursing then I understand taking the baby. At four my kids could go all day, but you know your children. My two year old went the entire day when we were at Disney in the fall. Liberty Tree is great. We really enjoyed it. I would say your schedule is great. I would maybe just do a little shopping or walk around the GF, then head over to the park. Your going to have so much fun!

I would consider napping everyone from 12 - 4. If your ADR is at 4:30, you will need to leave your resort by 3:30 or 4 in any case (3:30 from most resorts, maybe 4 at the latest if you are at a monorail resort). Like one of the other posters said, you know your children, but my DD6 napped nearly every day during our week long trip in January. Esp. at the end of the trip (everyone is worn out) - if you aren't planning to sleep in on the day before, your 4 yos might need a nap. To be at DTD at 9 am, you will probably need to leave your resort around 8 am, so everyone will be up early for a long day.

Okay, just google bbb at MK and saw that one is opening at MK we are going in Oct 2008 when youngest is 4 and I was planning on going to BBB now I am so excited.
Okay back to the poster I know this is silly, but what about hair and make up if the girls go to sleep. I know thats like compared to fussy kids, but thats what the BBB is about.

I think if you could change your BBB ressie to the MK you might find it easier to get to the GF for the Tea Party. Isn't the GF closer to MK than DTD? Also, you can get an earlier ressie at the MK's BBB, if you wanted to then take some photos of the girls in front of the castle before heading to the Tea Party.

I would agree on some down time in the afternoon, depending on your girls. However, it is not a lot of time to go back to your resort after the GF, than back to MK so maybe just spend the few afternoon hours somewhere quite, like strolling around Mickey's ToonTown or even in DTD.

I think your schedule is very doable, with the help of DH and a good stroller!!! You will have a wonderful time!!

Enjoy!!

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions! I did switch our boutique ressies from downtown disney to the MK so we can do the monorail to GF. Unfortunately, when I called, I couldn't get the ressie I wanted for LTT though. I was so surprised to see they're booked the whole afternoon/evening!

Anyways, I went with Crystal Palace reservations for 4:10 instead. Does anyone know if the characters dress up there for MNSSHP??

The characters do dress up during the event. It is soo cute. They all do it and don't miss the parade and the fireworks near the castle. They're both great.

As far as your schedule, our older DS was 4 at the time we went to MNSSHP and we hung around the hotel, relaxed, let him watch a little tv (the only time during the trip), he played with some new souvies to kill the time. We also prepped him letting him know what he might see. (We weren't sure ourselves since this was our first time going to MNSSHP.)

Crystal Palace is a wonderful place to have your early dinner and the characters there are the best. From what I have heard they look super in their Halloween costumes to!!

It occurred to me that something else you could do for your down time would be to take the boat ride in Adventure Land or is it Frontier Land. It is about twenty minutes long, add on the wait in line and on and off loading and you could probably kill a good forty minutes or so. There will also be the afternoon parade in the MK to watch. You could also take the boat from Mk to the parking lot and back again, if you are allowed. I am not sure how long it is, but the girls could chill out and relax and baby will probably sleep.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!!

Gotta vote for napping during the downtime. That is one very full day. I would need a break--and I'm way older than 4 (years or months). Enjoy!

I would definetly get some nap time in there in the afternoon. You have a very full and early start to your day and I would just think some naptime would help the twins stay awake and set for fun for MNSSHP! It might help and DH stay up for the party too!!!!:goodvibes

You stated this is your last day and I know from our experience my kids get more tired as the trip goes on. I had my 6yo DD take a nap every afternoon during our Feb. trip. Although she complained about it - guess who was asleep in minutes everyday!!! That way I told her we could stay out later. Her and I did several EMH evenings and she was in a great mood b/c of her nap!! Now 2yo DS cannot tolerate late evenings so DH stayed back with him which he was fine with since the Super Bowl was on one of those nights and several other sporting events. DS would take his usual nap and be in bed at his normal time.

Also glad to hear you got the BBB rescheduled to MK. When I first saw your schedule I thought it might be a tight squeeze to get the whole package with pictures done at DTD and then be at GF by 10:30. BBB at MK will make that very doable and fun!

Good luck its sounds like a very fun day!!
