scheduling extra cleaning/ rescheduling full cleaning

We will be staying for 9 nights beginning this Saturday. I am thinking of scheduling 1 or 2 extra trash and towel services since this is a suprise trip for my husbands 40th birthday. Do I need to call ahead to do this or should I just schedule the service when I check in?

Secondly, our full cleaning is scheduled for 12/15 which is my husbands actual birthday. I was hoping to reschedule this for 12/14. Is it possible to do this?
