so my Disney trip obsession is getting crazy and I put all the events that are happening at DL and DCA during the days that I'm there in an excel file by day and time.

I know...crazy. My hubby has made that very clear to me. LOL

BUT I thought that I would offer it to anyone that could make use of it. I can email it to you I think (not sure if I can attach things)

My dates are Feb 27-March1 and then March 4-March 6. You can probably amend it for your dates as well if you weren't going on the same days.

THe reason I made it was that it made things more visually clear in my head as to what was happening where at a given time.

OOoOOOooo I'd love to see it!

oops....sorry :) first time using google docs.
I think i fixed it now!

Wow, that's one busy schedule. That looks like my calendar when I'm at work. I can't handle that much structure on vacation. Good luck to you :goodvibes

oh goodness no! that's not our schedule...that's Disney's schedule. this is so that we know what's going on and we can select what we want to do.
last time we went, we kept missing things so I think this helps to keep it all clear visually.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok that makes better sense. I just glanced and never saw an open time slot and though WOW how on earth are you going to do that? They also have daily schedules available at both gates but I like the idea of having just one with both parks on it.

Lmao wow they give you a paper that has all the thiings going on that weekend or weekdays

We went 3 days and here's how we did it

Fri world of color picnic
Sat bluebyou
Sun minnies breakfast

We reserved those 3 things and wing it the rest of the day always get fastpass as soon as its time to get a new one.

Jump in a ride line and decide where to go next there's plenty of time to decide in a ride line. Instead of deciding without being in a line you waste a lot of time that way :)

hmm...i didn't know they gave you more than that day's schedule.

but either way, this works better for me because I can see the schedule for both parks on each day we're there. So we can decide while we're there that if this one thing we want to do is busy, we can do it on this other day or nope we have to wait because it isn't around after this day that we'll be there or it conflicts with something else.

I know i'm overthinking it I think but I feel more prepared. The last time we went, we had 5 days and I think we missed sooo much stuff and I read about things and think...we didn't see that or know about that. lol

Don't feel bad - I have an Excel spreadsheet almost exactly like that. I'm a mega-planner when it comes to all vacations, but especially Disney ones!

Your husband will only think it's crazy until you get there, and he sees how nice it is to have all that information when you need it!

PM sent :thumbsup2 Actually nevermind I opend up your link--thanks!!!

My wife said I was crazy when I did that on our vacation but when she saw all we did in the amount of time she was glad I did it. I don't know about all of you but for us a vacation at the parks is a major investment both in time and money.

I LOVE this! I usually do an excel workbook (page for details, budget, packing list) for each vacation, so something like this is perfect to add to what I already have. My friend had mentioned that she was working on something but didn't get to finish before we went. Seeing yours, I understand how it could've helped us. Only wish I had it before we went. Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2
