Scene+ Program

I'm sorry, but no i don't have the T&C. You just made me realize I was going to check and see if I got the 4th 1000 yet as well.
Mine has already been posted. It is usually posted on the same date as the last purchase. My last purchase was made on June 2, and the bonus points were posted on June 2.

@AngelDisney our basket offer was for the first three weeks of June, earning 1000 points each week. Then we get the bonus 1000 points if we complete it.

@kimbert, I found an old flyer and it says the bonus 1000 points will post up to four weeks after the promotion is over, which was June 25.

Has anyone used Scene+ for Disney gift cards? It seems that only digital ones are available. Does it work as the physical ones at US? Can I use them to pay for hotel stay? TIA!

I redeemed Scene points for a Disney gift card last year and yes it works the same as a physical one in the US. I just took a screen shot of it and showed the cashier when making a purchase and they scanned the barcode on it. Of course its in Canadian funds so the first time I used it, it was converted into US at the exchange rate for that day. The remaining balance was is US. It was fun to have "free" money to use at Disney but the exchange rate was a bit painful. Last fall a $25 Canadian GC gave me about $16 with exchange.

Someone on here suggested using the points for groceries then purchasing a GC at the store instead of redeeming on the app because you get more bang for your points so that is also an option.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Am I allowed to use points to buy gift cards at Sobeys?

Update:
No, I can’t directly use points to buy Disney gift cards in store. Too much hassle as well!
64000 points for $500 Disney gift cards
1000 points for $10 Grocery
Yes, it’s better to use points for grocery and buy the gift cards in store.

I found it better to use the Scene credit card (which has no Forex fees), charge my Disney vacation to it, then apply the points directly to pay for the travel when billed.
This is exactly how we cover most of our disney trip costs now!
Just a few things to note, which won't show as "travel" category and therefore won't be eligible to cover with scene points - WDW tix purchased alone. Store purchases through the Disney app (like I used virtual checkout at main street emporium, and mobile ordered food).

The way around this has a few choices:
1) Bundle a WDW room + tickets and charge the whole thing if you want to cover the tickets (and don't mind buying direct from the mouse). I got a "room package", paid the $200 (USD) deposit, and then paid the remainder off at ~$100 bucks every month before it was all due in August. This way, as I earn enough scene points to cover each charge, I get it paid off!
If I had charged all $1300 USD at once, I likely wouldn't have earned enough scene points to cover that massive charge all at one time.

2) I charge all WDW purchases to the room (food, merch, etc.) and then ask the front desk to charge my credit card daily, again, instead of all at once! This ensures the charge shows up as travel because it's coming from a WDW hotel (I'm not 100% certain that merchandise purchases made on property Won't show up as travel... but I'm just not taking the chance, and we always stay on property, so we have this option).

I think that's all the tips I have for now. Oh! You have 12 months from the date of the charge to earn enough Scene points to cover it!

Thanks for the heads up and tips! The travel eligible purchase category is tricky.
