Although when I got home I realized I had a new loaded offer for spend $150 get 700 points but I missed by literally $0.59 due to taxes/deposit.

The west coast is now affected by this starting the 22nd. In the past, I would determine my airmiles spending by equating to cost, ie: spend less than the airmiles you get.

What is a good ratio for the Scene+ points do you think?

I divide the scene points by 10 and that is about equivalent to AirMiles (1000 scene points = $10, 95AM =$10). Then I decide if it’s worth it based on cost and the 1:1 ratio.

Bring it up in the app! Not sure about Toronto, but in Ottawa there are only 4 stores they price match with - No Frills, Walmart, Food Basics and Superstore. I've price matched chicken before but not when it was in a box format, rather when it was $3.99/lb and they went by the weight.

So I showed the app and they checked that it was the same cut of chicken and made the adjustment.

Just a heads up, in the Scene+ app there are giftcard specials for many if the Empire stores including Freshco. Most are spend $100 in giftcards get 500 points, limit of 5 cards.
