Scavenger Hunt Ideas???

We are doing a scavenger hunt at my dd's 5th birthday party next Sunday. The kids are 4, 5, 9 and 11. We need ideas for the two older ones. We want them to have to guess where to go next to find their next clue. At each clue, they will collect puzzle pieces, which when all four kids put it together, it will reveal to them that they are going to Disney World two days later.

Any ideas on how to run their hunt? The younger two are doing a picture one, so that is simple. Thanks for any ideas you have.

my kids make me create treasure hunts about once a month...they love them so.... I have lots of versions...one thats a favorite is I take plastic jewelry (rings, necklaces, etc) and wrap it in aluminum. Kinda make an egg shape. Then paper mache' it (really it only takes 5 minutes) then the kids color the eggs different colors (although you could put the jewelry into easter eggs, but then the kids arent involved) then I write clues. I start at the beginning...writing clues for the next one...such as...I get used too much on Saturdays, but only for an hour on Weekdays...(my kids know its the TV) or I always look green, but I dont need water to grow (my fake plant) then I leave a clue and an egg....when they gather all the eggs they can unwrap them and figure out the treasure! We had gotten passes for the local water park...so each egg had a clue..one had a ziploc of water..one had a piece of a towel...one had an arm floatie...etc...

Hi, i also do scavenger hunts for my kids. My 2 youngest are 11 and 9. My 12 and 14 year old love'em too. Anyway, the last time i did a scavenger hunt for them, i did riddles for the oldest, mirror writing for next, poems with missing word (location) for next, and clues written in shapes for youngest (ie in a circular pattern, triangle, etc). Each kid was given a "tool" to help them. the oldest received a "thinking cap" as she had to use her head, The next a mirror, the last a pen and the youngest (my son who loves Pirates of the cara...) a toy compass. They loved it! They had fun afterwards finguring out each others clues. Good luck! ON OUR WAY IN SEPT 05
