22 days and counting down! DH and I have a suprise trip with FD for next month that I have had to sit on for a yr now! I am about to burst, I catch myself any times a day about to give it away, DH would be so dissapointed in me!
We sat down the other day and planned a scavenger hunt that consists of riddles. First we call the kids into the living room and give them a poe telling them they have a suprise but they have to play our lame game to get it. It gives them a riddle that send them around the house and neighborhood, they even have to make a phone call to the grandmas who in turn read them another riddle they have to figure out and finally get sent back to the living room where we will be waiting with Mickey balloons, confetti and our WDW travel documents and Disney Quest tickets! We congratulate them, hand them their packing lists and tell the they have an hr to pack and bring it to the car so we can load up the car we leave early the next morning!
They are teens so I had to warn DH that there will be alot of eye rolling and we may have to really push to get them to play first but we both think in the end they will enjoy it!
We googled and found a great site with riddles and poems for home scavaneger hunts that helped us alot and we added some of our own including the phone call, at one point they even have to go to the computer and figure out a password to get on and once they do the wallpaper will be another riddle to send them some where else!
