Jenvenza and Starrzone...great stories - thanks for sharing and adding them to the scary stories thread!
Nancy, I don't know for sure what it is, or if it's because you mentioned it, but I can definitely see what looks to be a pale, blue-white hollow face grimacing in the window, with tall hair or some kind of hat or bonnet and an upper body. Spirit? Grease? Dirt swirls? Ghost? Our imagination? Who knows - but it's definitely fun to let everyone come up with their own theories!
Thank you Bella...no offense at all! I wouldn't have shared it if I was worried what others might think...and since even I don't claim to know what was behind what happened that night, I figured best to just tell the tale as well as I know how to make it interesting, and let everyone form their own opinions. As a born-debunker myself, I'd never be offended at someone wondering about the veracity of a story!
I can promise this - the people mentioned were real, the ouija session really happened, and all of the unexplained events that occurred as I described actually happened. I like to try to describe emotions, visuals, and feelings to make them more immersive, and to 'dramatize' the story - and of course shortened the story to fit into a reasonable length for posting on the web - the actual session lasted many hours.
Those who believe in those things likely would be willing to accept what happened as ghostly or spiritual, those who do not will think the whole thing made up. The third option would be if those things happened and were part of an elaborate prank or production - something I would never put past folks in Hollywood who are overly creative, have lots of free time, and money to play with. If you held me down and forced me to give my opinion, I'd lean towards this option...but then again I am a skeptic! But if it was, I didn't catch any of the trickery in action, and can't easily explain how it was pulled off so convincingly. If it was something else...then I am very happy to have made it out alive! Either way, skeptic or believer, I'm not messing with voodoo, curses, ghosts, ouija boards, satanic rituals, incantations, or anything else like that. Even if I don't believe in those things, the penalty for being wrong is too great to take the chance.
Thank you so much.
Great story, rn2b. Another person who won't be messing with ouija boards anymore, huh! When those things get mean or creepy, time to pack up the board in the box and lose it in a dumpster on the side of the road!
Keep the ghost stories coming, everyone!
