Scary afternoon

My office is on the other side of the building in a Catholic school. Our secretary unlocks the door, because she doesn't want to get up to answer the door, when someone rings the bell.

My office door to outside is always locked. Parishioners are surprised when they pull on the door and find it locked. I'll never leave my door unlocked.

We've had wallets, laptop computers and digital cameras stolen in our elem. school. From what I have been told, teachers were told that they have to be more aware. Lock purses in cabinets, lock doors when you leave the classroom and report anyone without a visitor's badge.

It's amazing how easily someone can get into a school. Another parent (who is a former teacher) said that hey had to lock their classrooms at lunch. I don't know if there are security cameras, but that's a good question. We have always had to sign in at the office and be buzzed into the school, and I assumed that would keep people out. I guess I forgot that its the god guys who follow the rules. LOL
