I am kind of wimpy about roller coasters. Although I will do almost anything at WDW (not crazy about TOT or RR) I will not do Rip Rocket, or Hulk, or Dueling Dragons. I don't like drops. I don't mind "scary" themes though. I am wondering about Spider Man, Mummy, Kong, Jurrasic Park and Men in Black, are these roller coaster scary or just theme scary? I love Space Mountain, but find Expedition Everest to be about at my limit. I love the Harry Potter rides. And what on earth is the Jimmy Fallon attraction?

Spider Man, Kong, and Men in Black are just maybe theme scary. They aren't roller coasters. Men in Black is spinnier version of Buzz Lightyear. Spider Man and Kong are less intense than even Gringott's. Mummy is a combo dark-ride and indoor roller coaster. Mummy is less intense than Everest. It doesn't go as high, because it's indoors. It's actually pretty cool. It's like a better-themed, cooler, way smoother Space Mountain. I can do Mummy a lot, but Space Mountain is so jerky that about once per trip is enough. The theming and special effects are Mummy are amazing. I haven't done Jurassic Park. I think it's just a water raft ride like Kali River Rapids. I haven't done Fallon yet. I have heard it described like Soarin' or Minions maybe.

Jurassic Park is much more comparable to Splash Mtn than KRR. I don't consider it to be scary, as such. But it is noisy inside and I've ridden with a few folks who've found that intimidating. And then there's the drop.

Hi, I just got back from Universal a week ago and I wasn't really scared on any of the rides. Maybe the Kong queue is a little scary as it is very dark and there is a creepy animatronic (very cool though!). I can definitely attest to the drops, as I hate them too, especially that floating stomach feeling. Spiderman has a simulated drop, but you are not actually dropping. I was completely fine on it, but I think if it started to bother you, you could close your eyes and you wouldn't feel a thing. Kong, I think also had a simulated drop, but less so than Spiderman, and again I felt nothing. Jimmy Fallon ride was really fun! You race through NYC and end up some places farther from NYC (I won't spoil where). If you've ever been on Despicable Me, it is comparable in motion to that ride. Again, simulated drops, but nothing actual. Not scary at all! Men in Black is a lot like Buzz Lightyear, some fun aliens pop up that you shoot. I didn't ride Jurassic Park because I could not bring myself to do it. It looks like a bigger drop than Splash Mountain, which is my limit. I also didn't ride Mummy, but found a POV video on YouTube with the lights on and it didn't seem too bad, but went backwards. Hope this helps!

LOL bchbetha!

I am still on the fence about Mummy. And Jurassic Park. When did Jurassic park open? I wish I weren't so wimpy, but I really hate the drops so much I can't enjoy the entire ride because I am just filled with dread. It took me a long time to tolerate Splash Mountain, but I just count to three on the drop and I've gotten used to it.

I still haven't done Splash Mountain because of my fear of drops. I plan to do it in August. The only reason is because I love Song of the South.

Spider Man and the Transformer ride are not really scary, but it's a 3-D fast pace ride. There are no drops. It's similar to the Dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom. Kong is like a 3D safari ride, so it's nothing crazy, but does have a "scary" theme to it. The Mummy Ride is in between Space Mountain and RR. It is an indoor rollercoaster, it's dark. The intensity level is in between Space Mountain and RR. There is only one "big" drop on the ride. It's exact same form at Mt. Everest only it's a smaller version. It's really short, fun ride and I'd recommend it. Especially if you don't want to do anything too intense. Jurassic Park is similar to Splash Mountain, the drop is quite quick. If you love the Harry Potter rides and been to both The Forbidden Journey and Gringotts. Then the rides that you've mentioned are nothing and won't be a problem for you. The drop in Gringotts is about the same for the Mummy so you should be fine. As for Men in Black is like The Buzz Lightyear ride, only it spins a couple time. The Jimmy Fallon attraction is just a follow Fallon around New York ride. It's not crazy you sit on a platform that looks like chairs at a Theatre, like you are part of the show, and the platform just rocks forewards, sideways, etc. If you're still concerned about how the rides are. I recommend going on YouTube, and watching POV of the rides just to get a glimpse of how they are. Hope this helps! :)

hey! if i had to list the rides from scariest to tamest, i'd put it like this:

mummy, kong, jurassic park, spider man, MIB, and fallon.

mummy is part roller coaster and part dark ride, like gringotts. no loops, but it's still scary in both theme and ride!

kong is a simulator ride mostly, but it can shake pretty violently and those giant spiders and dinos can be creepy. it's tamer than forbidden journey, though if you're squeamish i'd skip it.

jurassic park is basically like splash mountain. it starts out tame with some slightly creepy dinos, and then it takes a frightening turn to the final drop! but there's nothing too bad here aside from getting wet...

spider man is also a simulator, but a much tamer one than kong, and it's really not too scary. you'll get some claws and fire in your face... but that's mostly it.

MIB is a shoot em up like buzz lightyear at disney. there's some cartoony aliens and a lot of spinning. otherwise it's very tame!

and fallon is a theater-style simulator like the minions or star tours at disney. there's nothing scary about it unless you're afraid of giant panda mascot costumes!

i think you should get an idea from other posts, too... hope you have fun, whatever you decide to do!

And on a related theme, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger", another benefit.

Lol.......my friends laugh as I say that for everything. It's getting boring apparently..........:headache: yes, these are my very good friends.........
