Scared Part 3 KID CONFESSED!!!!!

Well it is over. Principal called Tue night to ask us in for a meeting this morning. Off course DH had meetings so we made the meeting for 1pm. Apparently the Principal went around to the Grade 2 , 3, 4, and 5 classes and said that who ever was writing these notes should come forward and how it a criminal offence and that the police would be coming in to take fingerprints etc. She also said if you know of anyone or if you were involved that you needed to come forward with information. Right after school the kid came down (don't know who it is or what gender and was not from Chloe's class) and confessed and said they didn't realize the severity of what they did. Shy kid who wanted to get Chloe's attention by writing notes and then it just got a bit twisted. Kid is into fantasy books so that's where all the stuff in the notes was coming from.
Parents were in yesterday afetr child confessed and were very distraught and had no idea what was going on. The parents (via Principal ) wanted us to know that the are very sorry and felt for us. Apparently kid and parents did not sleep at all last night.
The child will not be allowed back in the school till the parents get help for child and can prove to the Admin. that child has improved. This has been the worse punishment for any child in an elementary school in the school board.
We are also getting therapy from the school board for Chloe and ask that her class be talked to as well as the teacher as they all went through the stress of all this.
I am thinking I may go see someone for counselling too.

thank goodness it has resolved. I hope your daughter can begin to feel "normal" again. It is very sad that this has happened to your child. Also sad that a child would do something like this. I am sure from all you have described that happened at school, this child knew on some level all of the fear that was being generated. also, that he/she waited until things cooled down and then started up again.

I'm glad it's over for your entire family. I'm also glad the kid has been pulled out of the school, at least temporarily. That has to make your daughter feel better. What dumb things these kids are doing today! Unbelievable.

I am so glad this is "over" (albeit probably not, emotionally), and that it seems the child didn't pose a real (ETA: that is, physical) threat to your dd. Counseling is probably a good idea for all involved.

That is great news. Im glad that it is finally resolved for your family. Also glad that it was just a child trying to get attention from your DD and not some crazy adult or anything like that. My thoughts are with your family as you move on from this.

Wow - this is the best possible resolution to this horrible situation.

I'm glad the child who wrote the notes will get help and that their parents are concerned and apologetic and not apathetic or in denial about it.
