Scared Part 3 KID CONFESSED!!!!!

Great news. Thanks for the update.

Thank goodness it is over and everything was resolved.

I am glad there are finally answers - and that you and Chloe can get help now and recover from it. That's traumatic for a child and parents! Good for you for realizing that and taken care of her needs now.

Another thank goodness from this corner of the world!! And thank you too, for informing us of what you could when you could. I'm sure legally you weren't allowed to say much - but I'm so glad you told us the outcome and that it is a good one.

Great idea with the roses- they were well deserved and an awfully nice thing for you to do. I think your family deserves a trip to Disney to de-stress!!!!

out of curiosisty-how the "h" did the kid manage (with supervision from both you and the school) to get these notes on her backpack?

i can't imagine an elementary kid unsupervised to the extent that he could go into an empty classroom and place notes on a backpack (esp when the school had made a huge deal about it to the students previously).

hope canada is set up to actualy enforce the parents getting the kid help-here in the states the parents would get a lawyer or legal aide to argue that the kids rights were violated via no "miranda" and being a minor, revoking the confession and having them back in the classroom sans treatment in 48 hours.

I am so happy for you and your DD that this is over!! And it sounds like the parents of the child responsible are very concerned and will get help for their child also. :sunny:

Praise God for answered prayers!
So glad to hear it's "over."
Glad you're getting some help & that was really wonderful
about the roses & the note for this principal's record.

Ah Karen!!! Wonderful news. I think it is a very good idea for you and Chloe to get some counselling. You have been through a terrible ordeal and thank goodness it all turned out alright. I really hope that the little culprit realizes the severity of pain that he or she put you guys through. It sounds like the parents will cooperate and get some help as well as punishment for their child.

It also sounds like your school has a wonderful new principal who gets the job done.

I'm so glad to hear that your family finally has their lives back!!!

The school bags are in the hallway. Not sure how this kid did it for so long and didn't tell anyone. Bizarre.

so glad to hear that it is solved. That must be a HUGE weight off your family's shoulders! Hope that everyone gets any help they need dealing with it all. It would be a great time for the school to do more teaching about bullies...ect.

 Glad it's over. I know that you said the police had been in before to speak on the severity, but maybe the threat of the fingerprinting was what did the trick.

So glad to hear this is resolved and that the school handled it to your satisfaction. I signed on today specifically to find out how things were going for you - what a surprise to hear the child confessed. I hope he is able to get help, and I'm glad to hear that your daughter will also - and you too. I'm sure this has been more stressful than most of us endure as parents. Good luck to all of you, and I hope that your daughter is able to put this behind her soon. Thank you for sharing your news with us!

I have been following this thread from the beginning and having 3 dd's myself I just hoped and prayed for you and your family everyday. What a wonderful surprise to check in today and see your post. I 'm very happy you can begin to breathe and sleep easier and start the processing of healing. I hope the writer gets the help they so obviously need too. Thank you for keeping us posted during such a trying time for you and yours.

Thank God that this is finally over! Now maybe the kid can get the help that he/she needs.

So glad to hear that it is over! May things quickly get back to normal for your family, your daughter, and her classroom. So glad to hear that the little boy will be getting help.

Oh I am so glad this has been resolved. It's good that you are all getting counseling.
