Hi, thought I would post this to see if anyone can give me some insite on this

My Daughter (9- grade 4) is getting notes taped to her backpack and in her backpack. Two of them were found on Thursday while the class was away skating.

Here's what they said:
Note 1 that was in her backpack:(she had been bike riding with her dad the other day)

I have seen you bike-riding yesterday do not think you can keep your secrets away from me
Identified as N

Note 2:
We are hidden from the world of men hunting those we dislike

On Friday afetr school was let out another note was found:

From the depths of the earth's crust, we want to fulfill our duties, we must. Like fire we gobble down trust and belief on danger we choke or misfortune we feast.

These are scaring the wits outa me.
The principal has done handwriting samples on her class and the teachers down ther hall from her classromm know whats happening. She is not to be left by herself.
They have been looking into the notes as they look very poetic. Chloe does go to Karate and her Sensei suggested that the words came from some video game.
Any idea's were these words are from???
Sounds like this person (as one teacher put it) is very twisted.

I don't know what to tell you but was wanting to bump this up for you. Can you also go to your local Police Dept & show them the notes? I don't know if they would do anything but all they can do is say "no." In today's 'twisted' world, you can't be overly cautious!

Good luck in solving this mystery & I can only imagine how frightened you all must be!

Get to your police department right away. I wouldn't let dd go anywhere unmonitored. I'd find a way to pick her up from school or the bus. It stinks for her but i'd do this until the problem is solved.

How very strange and frightening. Does the school your daugther attends have a resource officer (police officer) that could also be informed? If so, maybe he can get it noticed by the municipal department there. You really can't be too careful with your precious ones these days, even at school where they are supposed to be safe.

I would seriously consider calling the police. Since this is happening at school, I'm glad to hear the principal and teachers are not allowing her to be alone. Also, I would take her to school and pick her up - no bus. These words are not familiar to me, but I don't know anything about karate or video games. I hope someone can help.

I know this has to be scary - to you and to her. Prayers for her safety.

I vote for taking them to the police as well and trying to keep her monitored as much as possible. This would completely freak me out.

I agree that you need to go to the police. Don't trust the school system to handle this on their own. It sounds like your dd is being stalked.

Good luck! I hope everything turns out okay!!

Reading back over the words from the notes.....these are not the original words of a 4th grader. How many grades are in your daughter's school?

And I absolutely agree with the others here, the Principal seems to be on top of it in the school, but the police need to know about this ASAP!

The Police need to be involved. I agree that hit doesn't sound like a 9 year old leaving these notes.

Go to the police. They may be able to do things the school cannot.

Those quotes look way too deep for a nine year old. They really sound like lyrics that have just been copied.

I agree with everyone --go to the police.

This doesn't sound like something a child would write to me. Are they sure it's coming from someone at school?

Schools are extra careful with security these days (at least most are), but it's still possible that someone could enter the building and tape or put the notes in your DD's backpack.

This sounds strange, but could it be from an adult who has a child in your DD's class or someone who works in the school building who has access? Just some other ideas. I don't think you can ever be too careful when your child's safety is concerned. And as the others said, don't let her be alone.

I googled them, hoping to find that they were quotes from a game, but I didn't come up with anything. Prayers and pixie dust to a quick resolution to a scary situation :wizard:

I did want to first ask you what your daughter thinks about these notes? Does she have any ideas? Has she been messaging with anybody on the computer? Even someone she "thinks" that she knows? Has she unknowingly given out her address online? Has she noticed anyone following her? Or looking at her? Anyone out of place on the playground? Anything at all that she can think of to try and identify the person that has written these notes?

I would bring the notes to the police at once... Do you work during the day? Would it be possible for you to bring your daughter to school, volunteer while she is there & then bring her home? I would not let her out of my sight....

I just had a few more thoughts... Are there any employees at the school that are new, or have an unknown history? Are there any contractors there? School's have to do background checks on their own employees I think, but not for contractors who may be working there... There may be an offender working straight on the property & perhaps the principal doesn't even know this.... check out this possibility right away...

Hmmm..hidden from the world of men...depths of the earth's crust...

Any Hobbit/Lord of the Rings geeks at this school? Sounds like it could be something related to that.

I googled them too, and came up with nothing.

What happened with the handwriting comparison?

Or the Artemis Fowl books.

Go to the police. It sounds this person has access to her things at school. The following is going on in a community near me
Accused teacher off payroll

THURMONT -- A female teacher at Thurmont Middle School is off the payroll and out of the classroom for leaving threatening notes to two students, according to Frederick County Public Schools' spokeswoman Marita Loose.
FCPS is not releasing the teacher's name or saying what classes she taught. Ms. Loose also declined to say if the teacher has been fired or suspended.

"I'm not trying to be coy. I would say she is inactive and without pay," Ms. Loose said.

Frederick County State's Attorney Scott Rolle is reviewing evidence collected by the Frederick County Sheriff's Office and said the investigation could be concluded by the end of this week.

"We're moving along as fast as we can," he said. "We are investigating whether those notes amount to criminal activity."

Mr. Rolle and FCPS both declined to release details about what the notes contain.

Thurmont Middle School administrators said they found three notes threatening two students during the past month, and suspected the notes were left by a staff member.

I would go to the police with it, like yesterday.

I'm a real estate agent, and I received a creepy postcard in the mail, postmarked from Chicago, telling me that "I may see you soon one more time" and signed by some man that I've never heard of. The only thing I can think of, is that he saw my website, or my local MLS profile, both of which contain my photo. It had me freaked out for quite some time.

I went to the police with it. There was nothing that they could do, but at least there was a report made. I would think that since this is concering a child, they might react differently in your case.

Best of luck to you!

When I was younger it was always Dungeons & Dragons that had that kind of language. But there are so many weird video games, comic books, TV shows and other stuff out there now.

Does your daughter have her own computer with internet access? If so I would sit down with her and go through all the sites she's been on. Sometimes our young ones don't realize they have hit a site they shouldn't.
