Scanning tickets into app Question

Quick question that I haven’t been able to find the answer by searching. We will be visiting DL in October and bought our tickets from a third party company. Can I scan the tickets into the app now or should I wait until we get there? I’m assuming you have to actually go through the ticket stiles before the tickets become activated but I don’t want to accidentally activate them now if scanning them into the app causes that too.

I put my third party tickets into the app the week before we went to Disneyland. My guess is that you can add them whenever you would like. You are right, the tickets aren't activated until you go through the turnstile.
