Scanning ticket for someone else into MDE

My sister and I are traveling together to WDW later this year. I bought her a ticket as a gift. I see on the MDE app that I can scan tickets in. If I scan her ticket, does it give me the option of which person in my party gets that ticket? Or does it automatically go onto my account?
