Hi there,

Sorry for not logging on last night, ended up feeling really tired after going to town, hospital and supermarket so just collapsed on the sofa all night!

Our little baby is doing really well, the sonographer got to see everything she wanted to and took all the measurements. Bean is growing at a lovely rate, neither big nor small for the point we're at. All the organs are there and seem to be working properly, Bean had a full stomach and bladder. We got to see the heart pumping furiously which had DH sat with his mouth open watching it go!

We also got to find out that we're having a little BOY!!! :scared1::lmao:

Here are the latest pics:

Is this the first boy for your side? :cloud9:

How exciting to know that he is growing well and you can stop calling him an it. :rotfl2: It's now MR. Bean. :rotfl2:

Congrats!!

Congrats! Little boys are so sweet!

And the streak continues. Should we tell those people wanting boys, that the way to get one is to be a DIS scrapper? :lmao:

Congratulations! Does he have a favorite football team yet? :rotfl2:

What lovely clear scan pics! DS(9) was just passing and asked what it was - I said its someones tiny baby boy and he wanted to see his pics!:rotfl: Baby boys are so much fun (or am I biased?:rolleyes1)

Thanks for all the comments, we're thrilled.

This is the first born boy for decades in my family, there's lots of boys on DH's side. My mum had a half brother and my dad also has a brother but no boys in the immediate family since then. I just have 1 sister and she has 2 little girls. Mum's absolutely thrilled as she's never experienced a little boy grow up having never had sons soshe can't wait to meet her 1st grandson. We're also fascinated to see if he looks like my dad and inherits the "pout". It's a family thing that both me, my sister and her kids have developed!!!

No strongly supported football teams in this household, DH is more into Formula 1 and snooker but I suspect Bean will be taken to see the local footie club when he's old enough. They're not a big club, they're what's called League 2. To give you some idea, there's the Premiership which is the multi million pound players etc, then the Championship, then League 1 and then the league the local team is currently in so very bottom of the professional leagues although hoping to go upa league soon. DH's best mate however supports a major Premiership team which my DH hates (they're actually the team from my home city too!) so best mate plans to have Bean play for them one day to wind up DH!

Saw my 2yr old nephew today, he was running around the house in a little Batman t-shirt and jeans and I was thinking oooh I'll have one of those soon!!!

I asked about the football, because DH is a big soccer fan. He follows the MLS league here in the states, but he also follows Blackburn in the EPL (he is watching the game he recorded right now), and Queen of the South which is a Scottish team in their first division.

He also follows a team in the Spanish first division, from Tenerife in the Canary Islands, because when we went on our cruise we were in Tenerife when their team was playing and he went. That made him the star of the ship among the crew. He asked a question about departure time at the shore excursion desk and when the two Brits working the counter found out there was a football match they could go to...they were our best friends the rest of the trip. Tenerife was in the 2nd division when DH saw them, and they are in the hunt to be promoted this year to La Liga (with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona) so DH is a happy camper about that.

The only good news about this football stuff, is it provides the best opportunity to tell DH I am going scrapbook shopping. He is either distracted and just says, "uh huh." Or he feels guilty. :rotfl2:

I read somewhere that the reason the word "football" is used for two different but equally popular games either side of the Atlantic is so us women have a single word that can be used universally for "ball game that distracts men"!
