Please, please help! I got scammed out of (2) 4day-WDW tix in a transaction on ebay and lost $350. I planned to use those on my vacation this Fri. 1/13/06. I'm a college student and it's almost impossible for me to scrape up enough money for full price tix at the gate this late in the game. I'm afraid that we'll be stuck at the hotel for the duration of our stay. Does anyone know how I may get 2, 4day passes at a discount? Student discounts, resort discounts, ticket vendors, scalpers (I'm completely desperate at this point). Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I'm not sure how to create an "identity"? I just joined this forum today in hopes of getting some quick advice on my urgent situation. Can you please point me in the right direction?

Well first, how did you pay on ebay? If it was by cc you may be able to recoup your $$.
2nd...you can try and report this to ebay and see if they can help.
&
3rd...bad news, not a great idea purchasing Disney tickets on ebay. :confused3

I do hope you receive your $$ back (if this isn't a hoax) :scratchin

What's weird is, there are 2 newbies on this thread alone, looking for help with...scams?

no no no no i dont need help with scams....i need help figuring out all this point, resv. resort stuff...trying to plan 1st disney trip and WAY overwhelmed

I can sell you two - 1 day tickets no hopper cheaper than what you would purchase on the Disney website which is 63.00. When I first posted them on Ebay I thought they were park hoppers and they weren't so I refunded the money back and was getting ready to post them again.

My Disboard posts are not new, my Ebay rating is 94 and I have rented our DVC points to others on this board that can give you references. If you are interested, send me a pm and I will sell them to you before I put them back out there for Ebay.

If not, good luck. I remember what it is like to be a starving student.

SuzG..You might have more luck posting a seperate post with specific questions that people can help you answer. Do you want to stay on site? How many days are you planning to stay?

Planning can be overwhelming for sure when it's your first trip. Good luck!

Please start a new thread if you haven't already. It is generally considered impolite on all/any message boards to "hijack" a thread.

How did you get scammed on ebay? Tickets not arrive? Not valid? Details?

I am amazed and deeply saddened at those of you who believe I am being dishonest. Please ask yourselves exactly what I might have to gain by posting this message. I have experienced an unbelieveably frustrating injustice with my ebay auction. I have exhausted all means of recovering my money from them, and as a last resort, I sign up for this forum with hopes that someone may know of a place where I might find some discounted tickets. I must say that I feel worse now than when I found out that I lost all that money. I am not asking for any freebies. I am simply asking for advice. Please, if you can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. But please don't accuse me of being deceitful or trying to scam anyone because that is simply not the case.

Can't help you on where to get discounted tickets, but I just wanted to warn you, a simple heads up... be careful with vendors and scalpers... You might end up more in the hole than your ebay transaction. It is illegal in the state of Florida to re-sell a theme park ticket as they are technically "non-transferable", you might be able to find a great "deal" at one of the roadside vendors, but you would be taking their word that there are actually days on the ticket, you have no way of verifying that. Shelling out more money to purchase them only to get to the turnstile and find that you are denied access to the park. The parks will have no sympathy on you at that point and just advise you to buy a new ticket at guest relations. When you go back to the location of the vendor to complain, you will find they have packed up and moved never to be heard from again. This is on the news here in Orlando ALL the time...

Good luck with your quest. Have you reported it to Ebay? I got scammed on ebay for over $100 once and when I reported it Lloyd's of London took over the investigation and I received my money back within about a week or two.
