Scalp Sunscreen

Does anyone have any suggestions for sunscreen to be used on your scalp? I used to use a banana boat that was blue and awesome. Now it is discountioued. Any suggestion would be helpful.

Banana Boat still makes it!! It is now in an orange type spray bottle. It is for skin & scalp (at least that is what it states on the bottle) and is still the pump spray! I just bought it yesterday at Walmart!!

I have red hair and a white scalp. I have always used the spray Coppertone Sport 30spf. Works great.

Any sunscreen you use on your body will be fine on your scalp.

Yep I bought it too...orange spray bottle...just like you said.

I got it for my blonde hair/blue eyed 3 year old son. It's a life saver!

I'm also really glad to hear about this. My sis and I used to love the Banana Boat one, but thought they didn't make it anymore. I'll have to go look for the new version!

I shave my head and have had a hard time finding a sun screan that doesn't burn when sweat rolls into my eyes.

I have found that Banana Boats Sport Dry-Blok works very well. It doesn't irritate my eyes. Plus, it says it has a powder-dri technology (?) which does not leave a greasy feel. Here's a link to the website.

i have never heard of such a thing....i just ALWAYS wear a hat. Does it make your hair all greesy? I can't imagine putting regular sun screen on my scald?? It would be great for the water park when hats aren't all that practical (even though i wear one lol)

There ae three reasons I don't wear hats at the parks even though I have no hair.

1) Heat rises. Most of your body heat escapes through your head (as the rumor goes). I honestly feel cooler when I do not wear a hat.

2) I get cranky because I have to keep romoving my hat to go on rides. It's petty, but that's me.

3) Sweaty hats are gross.

I usually just dip the end of a Q-tip in the sunscreen and apply directly to our parts. We've never had a problem with this technique.
