Is there any place at the resorts where you can weigh your packed airline luggage?

Many airlines are getting really strict about the 50 pound limit and it can be very hard to judge the weights without a scale.

At the airline check in at MCO we had to redistribute some dirty laundry into a different case in order to make weight. It was incredibly embaressing and I felt like we held up the long line forever!

Anyone know where we can find scales? :confused3

If your resort has a health club, you could use the scale there (I'm assuming each health club has one). Otherwise, I'd say put your dirty laundry in plastic grocery bags, or a laundry bag, or anything opaque - so that if you do need to move anything around, nobody will see what it is. On the other hand, remember that none of the other travelers know you, and that most of them will be going home with dirty laundry as well.

Thank you Tyler! :thumbsup2 That is great news and will be very helpful when we travel in May! :cool1:

While packing with space bags (or large ziplocs) can make your luggage heavier because of the density, they also make lightening the load very easy.

Pack a cloth duffel right under the lid of your suitcase, and if it goes over, grab a bag and put it in the duffel. (Always keep a luggage tag on the empty duffel.) Shoes are another easy thing to quickly shove in the duffel; they tend to be heavy.
